Hi, I’m Darcy. This is my blog. I’ve been blogging since July 2005.
I’m a creative, a business owner x 2, a professional photographer, a graphic designer… but the two descriptors I love most are trophy wife and boy mom. I consider my time with my boys and husband the very best time of all, and love them fiercely. I adore this age and stage so much, I often wish I could slow down time and savor each moment of their young selves.
I crave my morning coffee the night before. I adore all things Italy and can’t wait to get back there. My favorite moments include read alouds with a lap full of boys, our Saturday mornings at the Farmer’s Market, sleeping in on weekends because I’ve stayed up to read “just one more chapter…”, the smell of our yard after it’s mowed, road trips, fresh babies in my studio, seeing my reflection in the eyes of growing children I’ve been privileged to photograph, summer, the way my cat drools when she purrs, the boy noises my boys make when they play legos, the way they love each other when they think no one’s looking, tag team cooking with my husband in our kitchen, and curling up with my kindle.
This blog started as a journal of my boys’ days and has evolved into a haven for all things photography.
