How to Participate

You can learn how Passports With Purpose works here

If you are a blogger:

Here’s the 2011 Blogger Signup Form

Procure a Prize: Individual bloggers can work with Passports With Purpose by procuring a prize that they will host on their own blog.  You will post a full description of the prize when the fundraiser starts (along with information about Passports With Purpose and a link to the full list of prizes on our site).  Once you tell us where to find your post, we’ll include a link back to it in the full list of prizes.  At the end of the fundraiser, we’ll let you know who won, and you’ll work with them directly to deliver the prize.

If you would like to host a prize for Passports With Purpose, you should work directly with the company you are interested in.

Prizes do best if they have your wholehearted endorsement, so please plan to approach only companies whose products you love, and preferably only companies who you have worked with before. In addition, please choose a prize that would appeal to your readership.  We learned a lot about which prizes raised the most money last year, so we have some guidelines that your prize must meet for this year.

New to working with PR?  Need information about how to pitch Passports with Purpose?  Here are some helpful procurement guidelines.  If you’d like to host a prize, but don’t yet have the PR contacts to help you procure something great, let us know here.  We can’t make any promises, but if something great comes our way that seems like a fit for your blog, we’ll connect the dots.

Post About Passports with Purpose: The most effective blog posts from last year explained what the charity does, and included a related personal story or personal appeal from the person writing the blog post.

Host a Badge or Banner Ad: Whether you offer a prize or not, you can support Passports with Purpose by posting our widget on your blog. If you have ad space on your blog, consider using one of them to display our widgets, or consider using our Passports with Purpose widgets as a backup for your unsold inventory.

Tell a Friend: Social Media and good old fashioned word of mouth are great ways to spread the word about Passports with Purpose. You can become a fan of PwP on Facebook here. Please do forward this website to other bloggers you know so they can participate.
