Multi-Generational Trips

Multi-generational trips are tailored to the needs and capabilities of groups from all ages and will provide meaningful service opportunities as well as cultural and recreational opportunities for every generation to enjoy.

2012 Trips Overview:

This experience is an excellent way for your church to invite families of all ages to serve, learn and grow together! Our trips run Sunday afternoon to Thursday morning and are offered at $238-$278 per person (participants under 3 years of age at the time of trip are free!).

We have 4 sites devoted to Multi-Generational trips for 2012! We are excited to add Bayou la Batre, AL, Sault Ste Marie (Kinross), MI, and Stuebenville, OH to Cheyenne River Reservation, SD. See below for the schedule.

Typical Day - Sample Schedule

Sunday

4:30-6:00 pm	Groups Arrive
6:00 pm	Supper
7:00 pm	Site Orientation
9:00 pm	Evening Programming (and Early Bedtime Lights Out)
11:00 pm	Lights Out

Monday through Wednesday

6:45 am	Breakfast Team Prepares Breakfast / Lunch Buffet
7:15-8:15 am	Breakfast / Lunch Buffet (Everyone packs their own lunch)
8:30-9:00 am	Group Gathering Time and Prayer
9:15 am	Depart for Service Sites
Noon	Lunch at Service Sites
1:00 pm	Continue work at Service Sites
2:30 pm	Clean-Up Service Sites
2:45-5:30 pm	Free Time/ Shower Time (4:15 Dinner Team Prepares Meal)
5:00-6:15 pm	Dinner and Cleanup
6:15-7:30 pm	Evening Activity *
7:30 pm	Evening Programming
9:00 pm	Early Bedtime Lights Out
9:00-9:45 pm	Evening Processing Time
10:45 pm	Lights Out

Thursday

6:30 am	Wakeup and Packing
7:00 am	Breakfast Buffet
7:30 am	Building Cleanup
8:30 am	Commissioning, Pictures and Goodbyes
9:00 am	Time to hit the road. You're on your way home!

*Evening activities provide an opportunity for participants and staff to relax, enjoy fellowship with one another or experience the culture of the community. One evening activity will be off-site, offering a unique,cultural experience for the whole group. The other two nights are designed to be more flexible and low-key (indoor/outdoor game night, community cookout, etc).
