Novotel Hotel Time Square to be renovated after changing ownership

The Novotel Times Square Hotel in New York City has been sold for about 92 million US dollars and the new owner is planning on giving it a 115 million dollars renovation. Time Square, the well known intersection in the heart of Manhattan at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue is one of New York City’s landmarks, a huge tourist attraction and renowned around the world as “The Crossroads of the World” or the “The Great White Way”.

French Polynesia and Kauai, Hawaii, top romantic choices for travelers

spacer French Polynesia is the top romantic destinations for travelers. Three hotels in French Polynesia were voted by travelers in the 2012 Travelers’ Choice Romance awards by TripAdvisor, Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora also taking the number one position. The recently released Travelers’ Choice Romance awards results recognize the most romantic hotels in the U.S. and the world. The winners are chosen based on millions of reviews and opinions from travelers around the world.

U.S. hotels were topped by Kauai, Hawaii properties, most popular among travelers seeking romantic escapes. Two hotels in the region made it into the top five – the Koa Kea Hotel & Resort in Poipu topping the list and Princeville’s St. Regis Princeville Resort coming in at number five. Global Hotel Exchange, an online travel agency launching their very own business model for the hotel and accommodation industry, has recently signed over 1,000 new hotels through the California Lodging Industry Association and Independent Lodging Industry Association. New Radisson Blu Hotel Opened in Doha, Qatar

spacer The Rezidor Hotel Group is the latest global hotel company to enter the Qatar tourism and accommodation market. They have started with the launch of a new Radisson Blu Hotel in Doha, Qatar. The new venue will not be built from scratch; it will actually replace the existing Ramada Plaza Doha, which currently has 583 guest rooms. The transformation into Radisson Blu will be completed in the fall. The Rezidor Group chose to make their debut in Qatar with their core brand in the upper upscale hotel market segment, the Radisson Blu, which by definition offers contemporary architecture and design, as well signature services, thus targeting business travelers and leisure guests with a taste for luxury accommodation.
