About

My name is Drew Maust, I’m 26, and I claim to be no special person apart from having a wonderfultastic wife, Emily, a beautiful baby daughter Poppy, a handsome son Henry, and a ton of grace poured over my sin-soiled soul.

I am currently serving as a missionary linguist/translator with Wycliffe Bible Translators. I’m thrilled to participate in bringing the scriptural world to believers who struggle to find a door the size and shape of their language. May the joy of the Church increase as we seek the glory of God through Bible translation. Consider partnering with us.

Education & Career

I am a 2006 graduate of West Virginia University where I majored in foreign languages and linguistics. In December 2009 I graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a master of divinity (M.Div) in biblical languages. My desire was to attend seminary so that I might love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul and mind more and more. Though I’ve graduated, that pursuit continues.

In August 2010 my wife, a nurse, and I became members of Wycliffe Bible Translators. We have been assigned to Cameroon where I will be working as an exegetical assistant to mother tongue translators. Read more about our ministry with Wycliffe.

Interests

My interests lie in biblical languages, Semitics, Bible translation, and linguistics. I also do a small amount of web development and hosting. Email if you think I can help you out in any way.
