Laity Lodge Youth Camp

Policies

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations occurring 30 days prior to your camper’s session will result in a refund of all payments except the $200 nonrefundable deposit.
  • Cancellations occurring within the 30 days prior to your camper’s session will result in the forfeiture of the entire tuition if the space cannot be filled. If the space is filled, all payments except the $200 nonrefundable deposit will be refunded.

WAIT-LIST POLICY

The wait list is limited. We allow 30 boys and 30 girls per session on the wait list. Registrations and deposits received above this limit will be returned. Deposits are not processed until campers clear the wait list.

ABSENCES, DISMISSALS, AND WITHDRAWALS

The Directors reserve the right to dismiss any camper whose influence and conduct become detrimental in any way to the best interests of other members of this camp. LLYC will not issue refunds for campers dismissed for disciplinary reasons. LLYC will also make no tuition deductions for absences, withdrawals before the end of the session, or late arrivals. If a camper must withdraw from camp early on doctors’ orders due to injury or illness, LLYC will refund a pro-rated amount for each day remaining.

EARLY DEPARTURES FROM CAMP

Our experience and history reminds us that early departures from camp are difficult! They are difficult on your child because they miss out on significant end-of-camp experiences. They are difficult on the cabins because early departures impact the chemistry of the entire group. Therefore, unless absolutely necessary, please avoid early departures.

CABIN AND ROOMMATE ASSIGNMENTS

Campers are assigned to cabins by grade. A roommate request may be made, but it must be a reciprocal request from another camper of the same grade; however, we do not guarantee we can honor such requests. Only one request per camper, please.

Depending on the number of tenth-grade campers registered, we cannot guarantee cabins I and 4 assignments. Sometimes we have more 10th graders than bunks in a cabin, in which case we will make two 10th grade cabins. In this situation, campers will be randomly placed in each of the two cabins.

Due to last-minute cancellations, bunk and cabin assignments are made the evening prior to each session. Finding out bunk and cabin assignments are part of what makes Opening Day special.

PET POLICY

For reasons of sanitation, public health, liability, environmental impact, and safety of all campers, we ask that you NOT bring your pets to camp on opening and closing days.
