TIGHT.
I consider Hong Kong a second home at this point, what better place on this earth to experience such insane architecture, fashion, and food.
If you’re in Causeway Bay, here are some shops to check out (among many):
and the giant I.T store housing A Bathing Ape, which is bigger than it’s ever been in this part of the world.
Inside Commes des Garcons on Ice House Street:

DISH IT OUT.
As you know by now, I can wax ecstatically about the food in Hong Kong. (Try Delhi Club in Chungking Mansion! Or Din Tai Fung in TST!) The other night, Kevin (CLOT) invited us to Yardbird, which is now my favorite restaurant in HK. Better yet, the world?
Super random that owner and chef Matt Abergel (here, pictured with KP; also with Lindsay) used to be Tony’s roommate back in LA. It’s a small world.
You know I enjoyed the food if I was too busy eating to photograph it. Matt and Lindsay have this Korean fried cauliflower (KFC) dish that’s a hit. Liver pate on milk bread with crispy shallots? Score. And need I mention the sake:
That’s right. The Yardbird logo isn’t Chocolate-y for no reason. Designed by Evan Hecox. Does it get any better? Read about Yardbird in the Wall Street Journal here. Visit their site here. I am hungry here (in my stomach).

THE HUNDREDS MAGAZINE : THREE OF A KIND : MUSIC
We wanted to give you a sneak peek of three unique women featured in the recent issue of The Hundreds Magazine: Music Edition, who are writing the script to their dream careers as producer, performer, and DJ. We had a chance to hang out in the studio, take some photos, and ask all three musicians about their past, present, and very exciting future. Pick up a copy of The Hundreds Magazine and see what they’re all about…
DJ SOSUPERSAM is one of the hottest prime time DJs around, and a driving force in rapper Childish Gambino‘s live performances. She’s calls New York home when she’s not traveling across the globe, and you can often hear her spin anything from Al Green and Hudson Mohawke to Dirty Projectors and Wu-Tang.
Yasmine Kittles of experimental-noise band Tearist dabbles in many different aspects of music and art. She hails from Los Angeles, and you may be able to catch her anywhere from acting on your television screen to performing on stage at your local music venue.
BAGO is a soulful R&B up-and-comer whose powerful performances and eerie recordings leave us with chills, every time. She’s LA-based, working with Alexander Spit on her new album, and describes herself a gin-drinker who likes to shoot guns, and whose nails are always painted.

BAGGED AND TAGGED.
I’ve written about District before, it’s a Hong Kong-based distribution that takes care of notable accessories and odds-and-ends labels such as InCase, Joya, and Naked and Famous for the Chinese market. Here’s a sneak peek into what some of the top brands are bringing you over the next year:
One of District’s latest additions is Forfex footwear:
While their staple continues to be Native:
There’s our friends at Baxter and Finley:
And I’m a big fan of upcoming patterns from Herschel Supply Co.:

HALAL BACK.
The food in Hong Kong isn’t for everybody. But once you get in the swing of things, it’s a bit of an adventure. This week alone, we’ve had Indian, Taiwanese, Northern Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and even poutine at the Shake ‘Em Buns burger joint. The city is so culturally diverse, that the dining experiences are one-of-a-kind.
Last night, the Hypebeast crew took us to eat Islamic Chinese food in Kowloon City. It’s essentially Chinese food from the north, but done Halal.
No pork or alcohol allowed, but pretty much everything else is game. There’s some beef and some lamb, right in the center there is the local favorite, kinda like these flattened dumplings with a juicy hamburger inside.
That’s Jeffery, Hypebeast Managing Editor Eugene Kan, his fiancee Nicole (follow her on Instagram at: @niggifung : She’s one of my top 5s), Pat, Vito, Benjie, and Hypebeast’s newest recruit, editor Alex Maeland, who also runs all of HB’s social media, including their Instagram at: @hypebeast.

AZEALIA BANKS FOR THE HUNDREDS.
If you haven’t seen or heard by now, Azealia Banks is gracing the cover of the current issue of The Hundreds Magazine, which is available in stores now. We sat down with her to ask a few questions, snap a few photos, and listen to her fiery opinions about her career, love life, and her thoughts on all the other chicks trying to come up in the rap game.
She’s a smart, lovely individual who, it’s safe to say, really doesn’t care what other people think of her. That’s why we’re fans over here at The Hundreds – we love the fact that she is out there doing her own thing and getting recognized for it. Also, we’re all dangerously addicted to “212“… especially one particular person in the office (I’m not going to name names, but it starts with a B and ends with an EN).
I mean, how often do you get offers to play at Karl Lagerfeld’s launch party in Paris? Or get hyped by the one and only Kanye West? I will make an educated guess and say probably not that often…
So pick up a copy of the latest issue of The Hundreds Magazine and read about the multi-talented firecracker that is Ms. Banks…

WEAR AND TEAR.
Had lunch at the incredible Sevva this afternoon here in Hong Kong, on the 25th floor of the Prince’s building. The Cool Hunter’s got a broad overview of the joint. Stingray menu craze:
Sevva is Bonnie Gorkson’s brainchild, sister of Hong Kong fashion maven Joyce and cake artisan.
I’m the guest of Edison Chen and Kevin Poon, the men behind Streetwear house CLOT.
That HSBC building to the right is modular, built like a stack of Legos. Meaning it can be easily deconstructed and set up elsewhere, built like that in case of a disrupted handover to the People’s Republic of China in 1997. Elevators aren’t central to the design, they only go up a few floors, with most of the transit handled by escalators.
Speaking of design, it’s the first day of work at the new CLOT offices.
The staff is still unpacking and setting up phone lines.
Edison’s office is nothing but boxed up art masterpieces for now. Kaws, Parla, Wes Lang, Scott Campbell, …
And speaking of boxed-up masterpieces, here’s CLOT’s latest collaboration with Nike on their Museum AC TZ Tennis Classic.
They come like this…
but 1 in 5 are further hand-customized by the CLOT crew. The numbers refer to the CLOT member who gave the shoes their finishing touch.
And they can end up looking like this:
The shoes drop exclusively at Juice here in Hong Kong on February 22nd:
