Microsoft Windows has a default system clipboard that can be used to copy and paste one item at a time. Microsoft Office Clipboard enhances this functionality of the Windows system clipboard by allowing you to copy & paste multiple items simultaneously in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Here is a free program called Clipboard Magic that also enhances the functionality of the Windows system clipboard by allowing copy / paste of multiple items simultaneously. This is a standalone program and does not need any other program (such as Microsoft Office) to work. Recently, a new version of Clipboard Magic has been released after a gap of several years.
You can use Clipboard Magic to store as many items as you like. In fact, you can even store up to thousands of items in it. Moreover, each copied item can be a single character or several pages of text. It also allows you to save clip lists to external files for being used later.
Clipboard Magic allows you to copy and paste single items or multiple items. You can paste all the clips in its store to another program with a single action. It even allows you to use from Ctrl + Shift + 0 to Ctrl + Shift + 9 keyboard shortcuts to paste the last saved 10 clips without specifically selecting them. Of course, you’ll have to use the corresponding key combination.
It further offers the following features: copy an item to the Windows Clipboard; series paste and row paste hotkeys; text drag and drop; clip editing; manual clip adding; clip sorting; backup and restore; turn off archiving; color-coding; full Unicode support, etc.

The program options include, Run from Tray, Suspend Clip Archiving, Always on Top window, Allow Grid Edit, Show Grid Hints, Show Clip titles, Show Toolbar, Show Status Bar, etc.
Program loading options include, Start when the system boots, Start as minimized, Open last list on loading the program, etc.
Saving options include, Prompt to save changes on closing the program, auto-save on exit, periodic auto-save.
Copy options include, Minimize on copy, beep on copy, ignore duplicate items, copy from bottom (in which the newly copied item is placed at the bottom of the list of items).
Clipboard Magic also several other options as shown in screenshot above. Moreover, most of its features can be accessed from the menu items, mouse actions and keyboard shortcuts.
