Who has more Fun?

The last time I wore this dress I was blonde and at the Jacqueline Conoir fashion show. This time I'm brunette and standing in an alley... The answer to whether or not blondes have more fun depends on whether or not you think a fashion show is more fun than standing in an alley. You'd think the answer would be obvious but it was a pretty enjoyable alley.

Forgetful

Sometimes I'm not huge on accessorizing (I like to call it simple elegance), but other times I legitimately forget to accessorize. I'll have every intention of jazzing up my outfits with glitzy jewels but then I leave the house, drink a coffee and once the caffeine kicks in I'll realize that I'm accessory-less. Let's ignore my unhealthy dependance on caffeine and just be thankful that I still remember to put clothes on before leaving the house... okay?

Blazers are Back

I think my favourite combo of blazer, blouse & jeans had overstayed it's welcome on my blog. After spending most of 2010 and 2011 posting photos of me in different versions of this outfit I really tried my best to add more variety to my wardrobe. Skirts entered the picture and I added a few other coats to my closet. But truth be told, I still feel my best in a good blazer, blouse and jeans. Even though I don't post too many photos of this combo I still wear it rather frequently and I just couldn't resist sharing this emerald blazer with all of you. I am pretty sure my regular outerwear rotation will be this blazer, my blue coat and my fur vest.... you've been warned.

No Thank You

If you follow me on twitter or like my facebook page, you would have seen me talking about a run in with a celebrity last week. Whenever Cara and I take photos in high touristy areas, like the Sea Wall at English Bay, we often have people stopping to so kindly ask if we want a photo taken together. It's almost become second nature to quickly (but politely) say no thank you. This past Friday afternoon the person asking if we wanted our photo taken together was Owen Wilson. We didn't realize it until after we said no thank you and by that time we just kind stood there awkwardly and said nothing. I personally just couldn't think of a good way to say "oh you're famous! Sorry I thought you were just a creepy guy hitting on us. Sure, since you're famous you can take our photo". So I stood there like a quiet weirdo.

Luckily, thanks to this experience I will be ready for the day when Leonardo DiCaprio asks if we want our photo taken. Because that will happen.
