The “Maison Container Lille” home practically brims with life and vitality through its gorgeous fire red color in Lille, France. Designed by French architect Patrick Partouch, this single family residence is made of eight shipping containers and it was installed on-site in just three days. All together, the stacked units combine to create 208 meters of living space with views of a cow filled field through its glazed paneled facade. Privacy and protection from direct sunlight is provided once the doors on the upper and ground levels are closed. The large polycarbonate and glass bay windows clad the front while also providing the interior with natural light. Removed corrugated sheets serve as decorative components inside. The material palette of galvanized steel, wood, and scarlet red columns create an industrial atmosphere of beauty and comfort for residents.
