My passion for my work as a doula is rooted in my passion for women’s holistic reproductive health. I believe that one of the most profound gifts we can offer a pregnant woman is a safe space for her to share her hopes, fears, and joys around her pregnancy. Attending my first birth in 2010 was a magical experience, confirming my intuition that providing holistic birth support would be work that feeds my spirit.  Every birth since then has taught me so much about the inherent strength and power that women carry within on their journey to becoming a mother.

As a doula, my goal is to provide that space for women to feel heard, supported, and validated during their pregnancy journey.  As an aspiring midwife, I bring a deep respect for the diversity of women’s experiences and preferences for birth, as well as a commitment to learning and growing as a birth professional.

For over ten years I have had the pleasure of working with children and their families in a multitude of settings, including in-home daycare, baby-sitting, summer camps, environmental and sustainability education programs, after-school tutoring, and most recently as a certified Montessori elementary teacher. An educator at heart, I love collaborating with families to support the full potential of human development.

When I am not working with clients, I can be found at home with my husband, working in the vegetable garden, delighting in new recipes in the kitchen, or hiking around our NE neighborhood.  I serve on the Planning Committee of the Birth Support Network, a local network of birth professionals, as well as volunteer as an advocate for Backline, a pregnancy options counseling phone line.
