  • Fried Food Friday!

    spacer
All right, we all know we eat worse on the weekends, right? Maybe I should be pushing everyone to try and eat healthy this weekend? Nah, I think I will save that for next weekend and instead, let's take a look at all of these delicious fried foods! Fried food is obviously not good for you and I'm not advocating eating like this all weekend, but lets take a step back from health just for a second and maybe enjoy some french fries. More Here...

  • A Visit to Gelato Classico, San Francisco

This is a guest post from CakeSpy.

    spacer

When it comes to Gelato, the setting is a big part of the experience. It is, as I like to say, a “strolling food”, so all the better to have sweet surroundings while you stroll and enjoy your treat.

That having been said, in San Francisco, I felt it necessary to try some gelato in the so-italian-it-hurts North Beach. It's touristy, but it's fun. I also love Stella Pastry there, by the way. So after consulting the best source for fast information (um, twitter), I learned that Gelato Classico was theplace to hit. More Here...

  • Nihon Kai Japanese Restaurant

    spacer

I've been spending way too much money on food since I got my salary. Bad. Anyway, Luffy and I went to check out this Japanese restaurant on Old Klang Road recently.

Nihon Kai Japanese restaurant! Tucked in a hidden corner from the main road and close to the housing area is this little gem of a Japanese restaurant, which opens at 6 for dinner. Despite it's location, which is not in a commercial area, the place was packed with people by 6:15. More Here...

  • Chocolate and Honey Chicken Recipes!

    spacer

Recently I was talking to a friend of mine (she loves to cook!) and we were talking about the many ways you could enjoy chicken. Whether it be fried, baked, grilled or boiled, chicken would always taste great (for those who aren't vegetarians of course), but then she suggested something that I would never think of doing. She suggested adding chocolate during my usual seasoning routine. More Here...

  • Italian Panko and Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops

This is a guest post from For The Love of Cooking.

I love quick and simple recipes that taste fantastic and this is one of them.  I combined some Parmesan cheese with Italian seasoned panko crumbs together to make a tasty crust that made these pork chops really delicious.  The pork turned out moist and tender on the inside and crunchy and flavorful on the outside.  We all, kids included, gobbled up these chops and enjoyed each and every bite.  You can’t beat a 6 ingredient recipe that tastes this great!! spacer

I just discovered this place within the past 6 months and I can't believe I wasted all that time not knowing about it. 16 Handles is a self serve frozen yogurt shop. Grab a cup, choose what flavor(s) of frozen yogurt you want and pile on the toppings. They have 16 different frozen yogurt flavors and a ton of different topping options. More Here...

  • Sublime Ale House

This is a guest post from Kirbie's Cravings.

Sublime Ale House opened its doors a few months ago, specializing in gourmet comfort food and craft beers.

The restaurant strives to use fresh ingredients, making everything from scratch in-house, with no use of freezers. Even the pizza dough is made with a poolish starter which requires several days to finish proofing. More Here...

Mariel here. Lately I’ve been highly suggestible when it comes to food ideas. I trotted past a Dunkin’ Donuts ad for their new Tuna Fish Croissant and, BLAMMO, that’s all I wanted for dinner. After fielding a question from a reader about our Penne alla Vodka, I just had to remake it myself. So the Super Bowl was pretty much a nightmare for me – other than the G-Men winning – since I was assaulted with one ridiculous food-porny shot after another. More Here...

  • Valentine's Day Treat Ideas

    spacer
Valentine's Day is less than a week away! I know some people hate this "holiday" and others love it, but either way it's an excuse to bake! My husband and I are celebrating this weekend and we are going to keep it cheap by eating in. I am planning on making French Onion Soup and possibly some Cookie Dough Ice Cream. I've been searching for fun dessert ideas and there are so many out there!

Check out what I've found, these are just a few of my favorite: More Here...

Recently, I was handed a secret spy mission by a super-sweet establishment.

Oh, you've probably heard of them...or at least their cookies.

Yup: I'm talking about the Girl Scouts. cookie locator, as well as an app, which will be updated closer to the date of the sale), I knew I had to be part of it. More Here...
