They will leave Spain on 21 February, and be active as 3C6A from Malabo (Bioko Island, AF-010) on 22-26 February. On the 27th they will depart for Annobon Island (AF-039), where they will be QRV as 3C0E from 28 February to 11 March.
Takeshi JH1WGP will be operating until February 15, from Koror Island (IOTA OC-099), Palau, with the call T88WG.
Torkel LA6VJA will be operating from Spitsbergen, Svalbard Islands ( IOTA EU-026) February 11, 2012 with the call JW6VJA.
Darko, J28AA will be at Hargeisa, Somalia (locator LJ29AN) February 10-20, 2012. A valid license was granted and a callsign will be issued upon arrival.
Sigi, DK9FN and Peter, DG1FK will be operating from Nendo Island (IOTA OC-100), Temotu Province – Solomon Islands February 11-24, 2012 with their calls: H40FN and H40FK.
Drew, N2RFA; Gene, K2KJI and Ivars KC4PX will be operating from Cable Beach, New Providence Island (IOTA NA-001), Bahamas February 13-23, 2012 with their calls: C6ABB, C6ALC and C6APX.
This coming weekend (February 11-12) will provide quite a few opportunities to test your contest skills in RTTY, CW and SSB.
The CQ WW RTTY WPX Contest is one of the most important in this mode and the hunting is on prefixes, rather than DXCC entities.
