This is the blog from Adobe’s Benelux technical enterprise team. This blog is an extension to the Dr Flex & Dr LiveCycle sessions we are having in our offices every month.

During these sessions “Dr Flex & Dr LiveCycle”, observe your common Flex & LC symptoms. They advise on how to implement Adobe Enterprise Software and work in a healthy IT environment by giving you a FREE ‘health check’ session.

These Adobe medical IT practitioners are glad to help you with the functionalities of Adobe’s Enterprise Software. Each session will take 20 minutes, so we will be able to help 6 patients. Make an appointment now with Dr LiveCycle or Dr Flex by indicating the nature of your Flex and/or LC disease to catherine.gosiau[at]adobe.com and your symptoms will be cured in the Dr Flex & Dr LiveCycle consultations. These consultations are open to all developers, designers,… Please keep in mind that these ‘consultations’ are not meant for ‘technical support’ questions.

We will post on this blog all answers provided and also will post Adobe enterprise news focussed on the Benelux region.

Hi Dr. Flex & Dr. LiveCycle spacer

I am facing one problem. I have long-live process in the workbench that I am invoking through WSDL service. I need as imidiate response the process ID. Since the long-live process is asynchronous, how would I get such a information from it?
    THanks for advices.

    Hi Jan,

is there a specific reason why you are leveraging WSDLs for the service? I’d have to look up how exactly to do this.

However, all your processes can also be invoked through Flash Remoting and that allows you to leverage the JobManager object to get what you need.

A good sample is posted at www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/quickstart/longlivedprocess/.

Please let me know if this is an acceptable solution for you or not. Otherwise feel free to contact me at wsmeets at adobe spacer
