About
My name is Corey – yes, I am a runner (who loves cookies) – and I started this blog is to share my passions for running and baking, and my ongoing journey to living a balanced, happy life.
Running is one of my favorite things to do. It has brought me so much joy and has allowed me to grow in ways I would have never expected. I started how most people do – by running up the street. Throughout college, running became stress relieving, a way to explore the city I lived in, and I gradually fell more and more in love with it.
In my junior year of college, I trained for and ran my first marathon. So far, I have completed 5 marathons, and hopefully there are more in my future. As much as I love to run, my body thrives when I balance running with yoga, strength training, hiking/walking and other forms of fitness.
I also enjoy writing about what I eat, simply because I love food and enjoy discovering new things and seeing what works best for my body. I have shifted from posting most meals to posting just my recipes and certain meals. The main reason? I realized I was not being true to myself when I was posting every bite I ate. For more on this topic, see this post.
Mostly, I enjoy writing about how overall physical wellness fits into my everyday life. Currently I am in graduate school, living in the Boston area, and just trying to figure out what’s next for me!

Hi Corey,
I just saw your comment on Heather’s site (about the GPS watch). Thank you so much for the link! I’m actually considering the watch for what it’s worth. Also, I was reading your “About” section and felt inspired! I’m very new to running, so your blog will keep me motivated and updated, for sure! I’m so excited to start my jogging class at my university. It starts in the end of January until end of May for twice a week, but I will add more running days/cross-training days throughout the week. Keep up with your blog! I love it!
