Cooking with Charcoal, Wood and Gas All on One Grill

Changing fuels is as easy as opening the hybrid grilling drawer. Our powerful gas burners are located below the hybrid drawer system. Use the burners alone to cook with gas, or place wood and charcoal in the drawer. The gas burners can be used to quickly and conveniently start a wood or charcoal fire, or to maintain the heat for longer cooking sessions.

Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet's exclusive Dragon Burners™ not only deliver superior firepower for every Kalamazoo grill, they are investment-cast stainless steel. They weigh over 12 pounds each and are so durable that we guarantee them for life.

Kalamazoo 900 Series grills feature four independently-controlled cooking zones (illustrated below) above the Dragon Burners that deliver a maximum of 100,000 BTUs of intense cooking power while also capable of "low and slow" American barbecue techniques at 225°F.

Kalamazoo 450 Series Grills (as well as the Kalamazoo Sculpture Grill and Kalamazoo Edo Grill) feature two independently-controlled cooking zones above the Dragon Burner, delivering a maximum of 50,000 BTUs of primary cooking power while still enabling exemplary indirect cooking performance.

The unique, bow tie shape of the Dragon Burner was developed with the cooperation of chefs around the world to deliver a uniform heat across each cooking zone.

Another key to a Kalamazoo's performance is the depth of the cookbox and the position of the Dragon Burners within it. With a generous volume of air both below the burners and above the cooking surface, a Kalamazoo is able to deliver a true convection effect with dynamic air circulation for indirect cooking techniques. The deep hopper cleanout also eliminates the vast majority of flare-ups.

Custom Cooking Surfaces for Your Grill

Each homeowner can select their ideal combination of cooking surface patterns optimized for meat, fish and vegetables. There is even a solid surface available for teppanyaki-style cooking. For even further personalization, initials, logos and other artwork can be cut into the surface.

Infrared Rotisserie Systems

Kalamazoo 450 and 900 Series grills come standard with infrared rotisserie systems. 900 Series models feature dual control zones for the infrared rotiesserie burners.

Integrated Cabinetry on Every Grill

All Kalamazoo built-in grills and free-standing grills come standard with integrated cabinetry for storage and access to the deep hopper cleanout and electronic ignition modules.

Redundant Electronic Ignition

The electronic ignition system on a Kalamazoo is fully redundant. There are two independent systems wired to each burner for reliable starting.

Hassle-Free Grill Cleaning

Any ash, grease and debris funnels down the deep hopper design into a cleanout pan that is large enough to hold everything and deep enough to be easy to handle. There are no shallow grease trays on a Kalamazoo to slosh all over your patio. Another benefit of the deep hopper design is that most of flare-ups are eliminated.
