I am Erin, and House of Earnest is a platform for my ideas, projects, and inspirations as they pertain to interior design, decor and entertaining. At the center of it all is how I want to feel in my home and how I want my guests and friends to feel. I believe that how a person feels in my home is a direct reflection on me as an individual. Is my house cluttered and cozy? organized and labeled? do I entertain or simply co-exist with my guests?
By day, I work in the fashion industry, and by night and early morning I blog about home design, decor, entertaining, organization and general home awesomeness. My style is simple, natural, rustic and slightly modern.
I am certainly not trained in design, but I have a love for interiors that consumes my mind! I constantly have so many new ideas and aspirations that my cup (house) runneth over. In order to save my husband from bearing the brunt of my constant flowing decor schemes (not in a ‘color scheme’ way… in a maniacal scheming way), I will keep a running reference for all things I consider worthy of my time and your time.
I hope you find what ensues useful, fun, and inspiring in your home decor journey- because, believe me, it’s never over!
