When I started my family, my creative juices for entertaining and baking were overflowing. I have an obsession with dessert and love to bake and share the sweet things in life with others.

I am a single mom of two – an amazing 8 year-old son, who keeps me focused on the truly important things in life. My younger child is a naughty wiener dog named Winnie, my son’s birthday present last year. She has stolen my heart (and anything else she can find in our home) and she reminds me that there is always something to smile about. Fortunately, for me, my son inherited my “sweet tooth” gene and the pup, well, she’ll taste test anything that spills onto the floor. Baking is my therapy. I bake through the good times and through the challenging times and savor the many blessings in my life.

“Grin and Bake it” was born out of a passion to ignite creativity. Hopefully, it will also provide an escape on those days when the kids are melting down, the dog just chewed your never been worn date night shoes, or your husband is holding the remote for ransom so that he can watch “The Big Game”. You’ll hear from my Big Sis, as well as our “Queen of Entertaining” mom, who inspires both of us. We hope you’ll stop by to share your own passions and ideas with others.
