The title “Bakuman” is probably coined from Bakuchi Manga, “bakuchi” meaning gambling which is mentioned by Mashiro more often.

Bakuman. (バクマン。?) is a shōnen manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, the same creative team responsible for Death Note. The series follows talented artist Moritaka Mashiro and aspiring writer Akito Takagi, two ninth grade boys who wish to become manga artists.

Bakuman anime is like a slice of life to me. So simple yet really inspiring and you can relate it to any dream you have in life. The scenes are also realistic. My boyfriend and I just finished season 1 and we’re still on episode 15 of season 2. I guess he will write a better review about this anime.

BAKUMAN shows that there is no happy-ever-after. Life is a continuing series of struggles and you can’t afford to get lazy or complacent. You have to earn every inch of triumph and success you get, so you’d better be doing something you love, or it’s going to be a frustrating, disappointing, wasted life.

Kou Ichinomiya is the lead character of this series and I’d love to call him an alpha-male: smart, rich and handsome.

Misfortune befalls upon him at the Arakawa Bridge and it became worst when he started to live with the people under the bridge.

Set in Arakawa, Tokyo, the series tells the story of Kou Ichinomiya, a man who has accomplished everything by himself. Ever since he was little, his father has taught him one rule: to never be indebted to another person. One day by accident, he falls into the Arakawa River and almost drowns. A girl by the name of Nino rescues him and, in return, he owes her his life. Unable to accept the fact that he is indebted to her, he asks her about a way for him to repay her. In the end, she tells him to love her, beginning Kou’s life of living under a bridge. However, as Kou starts to learn, Arakawa is a place full of weirdos and all of the people living under the bridge are what society would call “denpasan”.

Marty as Mature (King of Fighters)

Catch Marty and her group as King of Fighters! Marty played the role of Mature while her partner portrayed Vice.

Vice & Mature
Vice (バイス Baisu?) and Mature (マチュア Machua?) appear as members of Iori’s Team in The King of Fighters ’96. The designers at the time created both Vice and Mature with the image of a “cruel woman” and a “ruthless woman”, respectively. Their origin story is mostly based on the notion of Rugal employing secretaries prior to The King of Fighters ’96. Both women were unavailable during location testing and were likely finished near the end of the game’s production schedule. Aside from serving Rugal, both women were also spies and wielders of Orochi. They are ordered by their superior Goenitz to keep an eye on Iori, but both of them are killed by Iori.
