Registration of your copyright work can either be carried out online or by postal application.
Register online
Online registration provides immediate international protection for your work - cover starts the moment you complete the online submission.
In most cases, online registration is the fastest and cheapest way to submit your work.
During the registration submission you will be prompted to upload your work. You should upload all the files you wish to protect in the submission. The submission is completed once you make payment and at that point the files you uploaded are sealed as evidence of the content you upload as it existed at that point in time.
There is no limit on the amount of data you can upload within a single submission and our simple step-by-step process means your work could be protected within minutes.

Register by post
Postal applications are ideal for larger works or items that cannot be uploaded: If you have over 300MB of data to submit, postal submission actually becomes a cheaper option.
To register by post simply send full copy of your work and payment along with a completed application form F-01.
The form can either be completed online, or downloaded in a PDF format for later printing.

Prices
Online registration fees
The current charges for online registration are £39.00 for 5 years or £64.00 for 10 years per work. Uploads over 10MB are also subject to a fee of 3p per additional MB, but there is no limit to the amount of data you may upload within the registration.
Postal registration fees
The current charges for postal applications are £47.00 for 5 years or £72.00 for 10 years per work.
Formats that involve additional processing will also incur an additional fee to cover the extra time involved in processing these types of works. Please see our registration format pages for details on all registration formats.
