I have looked at many different affiliate marketing training programs and after being a member since January 2007, I can safely say that Wealthy Affiliate is the top training program. To explain why I feel that way, I have outlined my reasons below based on a number of different criteria. This Wealthy Affiliate review will cover the following:

1My Personal Experience & Success

The first reason why I recommend Wealthy Affiliate as the top training website to learn affiliate marketing is based on my own experience and success with the website and its training.

Before joining Wealthy Affiliate on January 12, 2007, I had only experienced minor success at promoting affiliate programs and at the time I hadn’t made a sale for about a good six months.

I had no idea what I was doing wrong – only that I must be missing something. I learned all sorts of stuff during this time but even the free education wasn’t doing anything for me.

After hearing about the successes that Wealthy Affiliate was creating from one talented marketer who to this day I still follow, I decided to sign up figuring I’d just cancel if things didn’t work out.

Needless to say, I soon found out what I was missing through the step by step programs inside Wealthy Affiliate. Back then it was the 6 Week Action Plan – a time released, task based program that walked you through the ins and outs of affiliate marketing.

Since September 10th, 2005, Wealthy Affiliate has helped many affiliate marketers get their start online.

Now I’m not gonna make you think that everyone who passes through Wealthy Affiliate makes money. The reality is while a lot do achieve some type of success there are a lot who end up quitting and canceling their memberships.

3Shared Knowledge from the Community

You know the old saying “two heads are better than one?”

At the time of this writing Wealthy Affiliate has surpassed 50,000 members. How many of those are active, I’m not sure.

What is amazing is the amount of knowledge that is shared within the community. When you put all those heads together, there is so much you can learn. From being inspired to being educated on different techniques to learning from other people’s mistakes, there is much to learn from the shared knowledge at Wealthy Affiliate – another great reason to join.

You might say to yourself “Hey, I’m the member of a free forum where people share great stuff too.”

The difference is that many Wealthy Affiliate members feel connected in a greater way, almost like family and well the free forums miss on a lot of the other points on this page.

The ShareZone

Along with the Getting Started guides created by Kyle and Carson in 10 different training categories, members can contribute pdf, text or video training in the area of their expertise.

The training is rated, discussed and referred to by the rest of the community. Great training is rewarded with “gold” which can be redeemed for real cash payable via Paypal at the end of each month along with affiliate earnings.

This training adds to the Wealthy Affiliate’s knowledge  base and contributes to each members understanding of different aspects of affiliate marketing.

The Forums

A lot of information is also shared in the forums. The forums at Wealthy Affiliate is probably the most important part of the membership, serving as a place where you can see others experiences, where you can receive support and where you can tap into the knowledge of super affiliates.

Some of the top affiliates at Wealthy Affiliate regularly drop gems of knowledge on the forum that you can use to make money, increase productivity or keep motivated. Names like Travis Sago and PotPieGirl are very well known outside of Wealthy Affiliate but its at Wealthy Affiliate they get closer to anyone else by getting involved with sharing information freely and intimately.

It was one of these posts in the form of a case study that helped me find the missing link to affiliate marketing when I joined the community in 2007.

Kyle and Carson

As the owners of Wealthy Affiliate, these guys are very involved in the community, regularly helping out on the forums and answering support questions via private message. You can get a whole lot of value in one of their forum posts than you would spending your money on the weekly guru launch.

Some of their most popular threads I’d recommend anyone read is “The Why of Marketing” in which Kyle lays  out an easy way to understand what your niche is looking for and also “Success: Easy as 1-2-3″ where he rips apart a niche market in under 30 minutes exposing different angles where you could get into a so called competitive niche market.

4Top Quality Tools and Resources

Without relevant tools and resources no business would be as productive and profitable as they usually are. Real world businesses need phones, fax machines, furniture, printers etc in order to function.

In affiliate marketing we need keyword tools, research tools, web hosting for our sites and other things that make our experience easier, faster and more profitable.

You can usually find most of what you need either for a fee or freely available and these tools have different functionality and also differ in quality.

5 Support

Getting help while you’re learning a new skill or trying to get familiar with a business model is very, very important. When you get stuck and have a question or need help with something, you should be able to reach out to someone who has the answer.

Wealthy Affiliate has quite a bit of ways for members to receive support. This is one of the reasons why there are so many successes in this internet marketing community. Everyone can get the help they need so they can learn from their mistakes and move on to the next step.

Here are just some ways you can receive support at Wealthy Affiliate:

1. One on One Support from Kyle & Carson – These guys are busy but they actually take part in community discussions and encourage you to contact them via private message on the forums if you need help.I’ve asked for and gotten help before from Kyle and they’re a couple of cool guys. The one con about using this support method is that you won’t get an immediate reply back because I’m pretty sure they do have a life.
   
   
2. One on One Support from Marcus – Marcus is Wealthy Affiliate’s affiliate program manager and makes himself available to answer questions on promoting Wealthy Affiliate, article marketing or any other questions you may have.
3. Community Support via Forums – The forums are always busy with knowledgeable persons who are willing to help. Got a question? Stuck and need help immediately? Your best bet would be to ask on the forums and you’re likely to get help from more than a few people.
4. Network – Wealthy Affiliate is also a place to make acquaintances. Get buddies through WA Spaces or get familiar with people through the forums. You can build your own network of people that you can freely ask for help when you do need it and maybe you can offer yours in return if the need arises.
5. Referred? – If you know who referred you to Wealthy Affiliate, sending them a message and letting them know you took their advice could lead to a good relationship. Personally, I would support anyone who signs up through my links when they need help.

As you can see there is no scarcity of support at Wealthy Affiliate – another great reason that makes me confident in my recommendation.

6 Make Money With Your WA Membership

Another cool benefit of being a member of Wealthy Affiliate is that you can make money from your membership.

There are at least 3 ways the system allows you to make money.

The obvious one is the affiliate program which pays 50% to refer new members who are interested in  receiving internet marketing training.

Lots of members have great success making money from the Wealthy Affiliate affiliate program. Of course, participating in the affiliate program is optional especially if you want to concentrate on promoting other non internet marketing related programs.

The good thing about getting involved with the WA affiliate program is that you can essentially make your membership free by referring 2-4 people depending on the membership type they sign up as.

The second way to make money from your membership is to contribute to the community. Whether its a blog post, blogging or interacting on WA Spaces or submitting a tutorial to the Sharezone, other members can reward you with WA Gold which gets sent to your Paypal when you reach the equivalent of $10 or more.

The third way is to do jobs within the WA Jobs section. WA Jobs is set up so that you can browse jobs people want to get done such as writing articles or helping them to set up a blog to researching keywords.

The jobs section works just like a freelance site and if you’re a little slow on making money while you learn you can use WA Jobs to get some income going. Making your first dollar online doesn’t have to be from affiliate marketing.

7The Training

Finally, lets not forget the real reason you should become a Wealthy Affiliate member – the training.

How does Wealthy Affiliate effectively train thousands of aspiring internet marketers to earn money online?

1. The Sharezone

The Sharezone is the main training area where Kyle and Carson as well as knowledgeable community members present training guides in either video, text or pdf format.

The main training guides are the “Getting Started” guides done by Kyle and Carson, which should get any beginner up to speed on the subject. For example, the article marketing “getting started” guide will show you how to write articles and rank them in the search engines, where to submit them for maximum effectiveness and how to make sales with your articles among other things.

Then there are supplementary training to these main guides that will show you additional stuff, maybe something else that you needed to know in detail.

These training guides are extremely important for your initial development as an affiliate and form the basis of your training.

2. The Forum

The forum is another important part of training. Don’t understand some of the training? Ask a question in the forum and get some feedback from knowledgeable members of the community.

You can also learn from other people’s mistakes. Sometimes other people’s mistakes may be similar to yours and you can learn from the advice given.

There are also case studies and the $500 and $1000 contest forums share some of the most successful affiliates’ best techniques.

There are also the NicheQ forums where you can discuss the various niches available through the NicheQ program.

Without the forum, the Wealthy Affiliate training wouldn’t be as effective as it is.

3. WA Clubs

The Wealthy Affiliate Clubs is a relatively new training program where the training is delivered in small actionable tasks via email each day for 30 days.

As a member of club training, each member receives an email with that days training and tasks to be completed.

The first Article Marketing Club was a huge success as many members were reporting that they more readily took action and completed more training in 30 days than they did with the other training.

Although the Clubs only focus on promoting the affiliate program and another of Kyle and Carson’s product – they can be used as a blueprint for promoting ANY affiliate program online.

4. WA-binars

Another great training delivery system that is new to Wealthy Affiliate is webinars. At least once a week, a webinar is held on a topic like SEO, building backlinks or other topic that members can benefit from.

The webinars or WAbinars as they are called are replayed just in case you missed it and you can discuss the topic on the forums in addition to asking questions during the live webinar session.

As you can see the Wealthy Affiliate training delivers and is one of the best reasons you should become a member. If you’re currently struggling to make money online or you just want to get started but you’re not sure where to learn what is required then this is the reason to take the leap.
