I am Hema Raghavendra from Bangalore. Thanks for stopping by my website – Vegetarian Recipes.ย Here I will keep posting a number of vegetarian recipes that myself and my family find interesting. My aim is to look for variety and try out dishes from all across the globe.

With most recipes posted here, I have tried my best to keep things as simple and easy as possible. I would love to make you feel that the recipes on my blog as simple, quick and easy.

    Hi Hema,

    Came across your site today. There are some lovely and easy recipes that I will be trying out soon. However, I’m from Sri Lanka and most of ingrediens you’ve mentioned in your recipes are in Hindi (I guess). Appreciate if you could also give the English translations. It will be of great help for Foreigners like me visiting your site.

      Thanks for kind words and the feedback. Will make the changes to the existing recipes in coming days to include English translations or words which are better known. Planning to add a glossary page as well to help search for information in one place. Just drop a comment in case you still have issues after the changes. Happy to help you.

    Hi Hema,
    Just came across your site today while browsing for Indian sweets .Looks quite tempting and am definitely going to try them out soon.Just wondering if bengali rasgullas and sandesh are there as that’s one thing I can never get right.

    The recipes are a boon to me, my wife is making many things to taste. I request you to make/write recipe for “Uddina vada”, Nippatto, Kodubale, and “Neeru Dosa”- for sure. Amma makes Neeru-Dosa very tasty… Looking forward for them…

    Nice website and very nice recipes. One question, how did you name the website ‘sumanasa.com’? I am curious since it is my name:-)

      Thanks for coming and happy to know that you liked the recipes posted. I am sure you like the site name too spacer Sumanasa was the name proposed by my father-in-law when my in-laws were looking for a domain name. We all liked it and named the website that way. Hope this helps:) So far, no one with that name in our family… Happy to have someone with name Sumanasa on our visitor list spacer

    Hema, thanks a lot ..I am away in the US, my wife and family are in Bangalore.. Reading out the recipe for making Shavige Payasa to my wife as she was cooking, made me really feel part of the festivities.. Will keep posted on how it actually turned out!.. Happy Deepavali to you and all yours..
