28/366 BPC: Necklace Pendant

January 29th, 2012 by Tina

This is the pendant of Nanay, she is not old, just close to 50. We call her Nanay because she is the wife of our big boss.

She wore this pendant when she visited us from Germany last December 2010. I was browsing through my photo archives and thought of posting this nice pendant for the 366 Blog Photo Challenge organized by Mommy Dhemz.

I really love this pendant as it is classic with a modern twist! Just perfect for everyday glamour!

Year of Golden Extravagance Ends with the Creation of a Solid Gold Christmas Tree!

December 22nd, 2011 by Tina

This year, there seem to have been more and more spectacular golden creations unveiled to the world than ever before!
We’ve seen gold mobile phones worth millions with five carat diamonds, yellow diamonds worth £7.8 million and entire kitchens covered with gold leaf!
However, no one was prepared for the solid gold Christmas tree worth over £1 million.
The solid gold Christmas tree was unveiled at Tokyo’s Ginza Tanaka and was crafted by Shogo Kariyazaki. It weighs an incredible twelve kilos and is over two metres high.
Also, you’d be wrong if you thought this tree wouldn’t come with decorations too! The stunningly beautiful golden creation comes with exquisite ornaments that are made of solid gold and silver.
Not only that, but covering the tree is solid gold and silver jewellery pieces, perfect for the jewellery store window it adorns. This tree most certainly makes an impression and as we’ve said, is the latest in a long line of beautiful golden creations that have hit the headlines this year.
Who can forget the gold leaf kitchen? This is a kitchen that is covered with pure gold leaf and it is a spectacular sight indeed! At over £300,000 it is worth more than the average UK house.
It’s amazing to think that these golden artefacts are still being created in their droves when you consider how high the price of gold has been lately. Well the gold price has been rising for the last five years, making a huge leap in 2011 in particular.
This makes commissioning and designing objects like the gold leaf kitchen far pricier than it would have been even a year ago. However, rising gold prices also mean that the owners of these objects can make a tidy profit on them now.
Now we mere mortals might not be able to invest in gold artefacts or bullion in order to make a profit due to the gold market. However, we can certainly make a key difference to our finances by selling gold for cash.
Everyone’s got gold jewellery and trinkets they don’t want but can’t bear to throw away. Are you going to risk missing out on high gold prices? If you have gold in your possession that you’re waiting to sell you run the very real risk of seeing your potential scrap gold payment go down as the value of gold fluctuates.
If you sell gold for cash now you could have a very merry and profitable Christmas!

Vintage Fashion: Outdated Yet Never Goes Out of Style

December 10th, 2011 by Tina

Just as vintage wine is more desired than the rest of the wines, vintage clothing is also the most sought after among the apparels. Why are they popular? That’s because they’re usually one of a kind and budget-friendly. They’re may be hand-me-down items but, with some styling, you can definitely turn some heads and catch more attention. Of course, to complete your uniquely classic look, pair your outfit and accessories with vintage shoes as well.

Vintage items have really been a big hit these years even for well-known celebrities. So snap out of your hesitations now, update your closet with these “outmoded” clothing now and get attentions with your yesteryear look!

Looking Fabulous in Winter

December 9th, 2011 by Tina

When it’s getting colder and the days are getting shorter while the nights are getting longer, what comes in your mind? Yes! It only means that winter season is just around the corner now. Thus we need to do some shopping to spruce up our wardrobe with winter clothes and accessories!

Since winter is the season of cold wind, rain and snow, let’s now say sayonara to our gladiators, high heels, or sandals and say hello to knee-high or ankle boots or booties. Of course, we also need to warm up with coats, overcoats and jackets.

But, remember, fashion and style is a choice. So go ahead, take your pick and look fantastic all-through-out this season!

Krazypix PhotoBooth For Your Party

December 3rd, 2011 by Tina

I recently attended the Pinay Mommies Community (PMC) Second Grand EB at Aling Tonya’s Seafood Restaurant. It was a day filled with laughter! I could still recall the happy and friendly faces of the mommies and kids. We have several major and minor sponsors and one of that is Krazypix, a photobooth courtesy of Iris.

Here is my funky photo taken during the event. While mommies were busy in raffling off prizes from other sponsors, I sneaked out and asked Iris to take a photo of me.

The next time you celebrate your kids birthday or even adults, try to get a photobooth and your guest will come home with happy faces.

Shopping at Christmas Bazaars

December 3rd, 2011 by Tina

Christmas is truly the most wonderful time of the year, and what better way to celebrate this special occasion than to spend it with your childhood friends and relatives. After I graduated from High School in 1993, this will be my 5th visit to my hometown. In as much as I look forward into visiting my alma mater, my kids are at the same time happy and excited to ride the horse, feed the chickens and make a scarecrow. These are just simple wishes of my children.

Prior to our travel, I want to buy a little token to give to my friends especially that we will be celebranting our High School Grand Reunion. As I read the newspaper today, there are a lot of bazaars to visit and shop to. So I guess have to visit some and find something for Christmas. Here are the few list:

Shoes, Shoes Galore

November 3rd, 2011 by Tina

After the visiting the exhibition hall in Suntec City, we roamed around Suntec and found a shoe shop with a big “Closing Sale” outside the shop. Without second thought, we entered and found 2 shoes for me and my colleague. It was just S$10.00/ Php 330.00 each. Went to the hotel happy and fulfilled. The following day, my colleague wore his sandals and to our dismay, the leather fall off. It was a catastrophy! She walked around Vivo City in barefoot trying to find a boutique that is not so pricey! In the end, we found a flip flops at S$15.00 – more expensive than the sandals we bought the other day.

I have the same sandals and will surely not wear this. Will try to bring this to Mr. Quickee maybe they can still repair this from falling off. This is really nice believe me! It’s a shame that for a branded shoes, the quality is shit!

It was hard lesson. Before buying, check the quality or you’ll end up walking barefoot.

Being Plus-size with Fashion

September 15th, 2011 by Tina

Want to be the best dressed woman in the room? Give up your baggy clothes and over-sized sweatshirts, jeans and dresses and buy yourself new clothes that are snug but don’t cling over your voluptuous body. And use the art of illusion to your advantage!

Today’s line of fashion is also now available in plus sizes as well. Some designers have designed and made clothes who flatter the larger, curvy figures, clothes that are not just stylish and trendy but, also, look good in bigger curves. So who says great things don’t come in big packages? Think again!

In order to figure out the right clothes for you, you have to scrutinize yourself and know your body well. Not everything that fits you, look good on you. Once you know your body and taste, you will instantly recognize what clothes and accessories flatter you.

Learn to enhance your best features. If you have a flabby tummy and bulging waist, cover it with empire-waisted tops and dresses and avoid wearing fabrics that grip the stomach such as tube dresses and cropped tops, etc. If your best assets are your shoulders and neck, wear U-neck or V-neck shirts to give a longer and leaner frame. For women with larger breasts, the scoop-necked top is forever a sexy style since it displays your face and your cleavage beautifully and lengthens your neck at the same time.

Find ways to accentuate your body while discretely concealing your flaws. If you’re short, wear jeans whose hems fall to the ground and pair it with heeled-shoes or sandals to give the illusion of long legs. For women who have big hips, pencil skirts, wide-leg pants and tailored jackets flatter your hips. Don’t forget to cinch everything you wear—from blouses to dresses—with a wide belt.

Unleashing yourself from the fear of being a plus size woman is all about amplifying your assets. So just pump up your curves by dressing accordingly and fashionably and be seriously sexy!

Lace Camisole : A Woman’s Must Have

September 9th, 2011 by Tina

Camisole is an undergarment that is traditionally designed and used by women as an intimate wear for covering the breasts and, usually, providing support. Now, in this era, it has evolved to be a very versatile and diverse undergarment.

Lace camisole is one of the most commonly sought-after types of camisoles. It said to be the ultimate statement in the femininity and timeless romance which explains why it is usually used for intimate moments. It comes in various styles and designs for all types of women.

For more conservative women, a stretch lace tank that extends down to the waist and offers a lot of coverage is good for you. For sporty type, a racerback lace camisole is a good choice especially if worn under a black jacket. For women with big breasts, a stretch satin with full, lined cups will look good on you. For women who want to bare a little more skin or show off their assets, I would recommend a lace, scarlet shapewear with plunging necklines, a halter lace cami with a deep neckline or a sheer sultry one.

Just like any other camis, a lace camisole can also be worn over a bra and under another piece of clothing. You can wear it underneath a tank, blouse, sweater or a jacket, etc. For camisoles with lace hems, it is nice to wear them underneath a shorter top for a layering effect. For sexier effects, you can also use your lace camis under a sheer top.

No matter what style of lace camisole you’ll be wearing or what type of woman you want to portray, just be creative and be yourself. Always believe and feel sexy because if you do, the people around you will surely think of you same way, too!
