11 Randoms

Posted on February 2, 2012 by inmytummy| 17 Comments

I was tagged by Amanda from Pickles and Honey to play the 11 randoms game. The rules are as follows: list 11 random things about yourself. Then, answer the 11 questions that the person who tagged you asked, then tag 11 other people and ask 11 different questions.

Here goes:

spacer

1. I played rugby in college. I wasn’t very good. It was a club sport so anyone could join the team. I liked the parties though.

2. I have a very good sense of direction. I don’t usually get lost when I drive.

3. I have never been to a tanning salon.

4. Jason and I like to play Trivial Pursuit.

spacer

5. The first race of any distance that I ever ran was a half-marathon.

6. I hate blue cheese. I actually hate a lot of types of cheese (the stinky ones, at least).

7. We got Murphy from a Golden Retriever rescue when he was two years old. He’s five now.

spacer

8. I never used to drink coffee until about a year ago. I still like it very sweet though, probably to mask the coffee taste!

spacer

9. I get my eyebrows waxed once every two weeks. They grow ridiculously fast and I can’t manage them by plucking alone.

10. When I was four, I was in a mall with my mom and I was playing near a fountain and tried to grab the money and fell in.

11. I forgot my headphones when I went to the gym tonight. 4 miles on the treadmill without headphones sucked….especially when the woman on the treadmill next to me started singing.

Here are Amanda’s questions:

1. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

For a long time, I would always say London when asked this question, but it’s been 14 years since I’ve been there (WTF?), so I don’t know if it’s true anymore. Hawaii?

2. When it comes to cake, are you a vanilla or a chocolate person? How about frosting?

Vanilla. I actually don’t really like chocolate that much. I like chocolate chips and milk chocolate candy, but I don’t really like chocolate cake or ice cream.

3. When you were a little kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

An animator for Disney.

4. What’s your favorite meal of the day?

Probably dinner.

5. Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Really neither. I like my sleep, morning and night. But if I had to choose, I’d say morning.

6. What was the first blog you started reading?

Kath Eats Real Food

7. If you could choose a super power, what would it be and why?

To create world peace? Is that a super power?

8. Sweet or savory?

Sweet, although I prefer savory breakfasts.

9. Thus far, what has been the highlight of 2012 for you?

I got a job after being unemployed for 3 months.

10. Do you have any siblings, or are you an only child?

I have a half-brother and a half-sister. They are 24 and 21 years old.

11. What are you most looking forward to this week?

A blogger potluck on Saturday night!

11 Questions for the people I tag:

1. What was (or is) your major in college?
2. What is your favorite form of exercise?
3. What’s your guilty pleasure?
4. Do you tell people about your blog or is it sort of secret?
5. What food do you hate?
6. What’s the last book that you read?
7. Mac or PC?
8. If you could go anywhere on your next vacation, where would you go?
9. What habit that you have would you like to change?
10. What’s your favorite beverage (alcoholic or non)?
11. What’s your go-to dinner when you don’t want to cook?

I tag:

1. Kelly from What Kelly Said
2. Anna from On Anna’s Plate
3. Lauren from Oatmeal After Spinning
4. Lauren from Lawfully Wedded Wife
5. Heather from Better with Veggies
6. Cheryl from Confessions from a Rambling Mind
7. Brooke from Exercise for Fries
8. Jo from Determined to Be
9. Jess from Eat Drink Breathe Sweat
10. Carly from Carly Bananas
11. Sarah from Sarah’s Scrumptious Samplings

Wow, linking to all those blogs took longer than writing the whole entire post. Here are the rules, although don’t feel obligated to do this if you don’t want to. It’s good when you have writers block!

Rules For Bloggers: (you must repost these)
1. Post these rules.
2. You must post 11 random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post.
4. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
5. Go to their blog and tell them that you’ve tagged them.
6. No stuff in the tagging section about ‘you are tagged if you are reading this.’ blah blah blah, you legitimately have to tag 11 people!

This was so fun to read! I got a kick out of the one about you falling in a fountain at the mall when you were little. That sounds like something I would have done. spacer

…it also took me a surprisingly long time to link to 11 other blogs. Looking forward to checking out the ones you listed!

Thanks for the tag spacer I now have a blog post for tomorrow!

I really love that picture of Murphy, he looks so happy.

Be glad that you were smart enough to avoid a tanning salon because I’m sure I’m going to be all wrinkly from the tanning beds.

Blue cheese is pretty much the only cheese I hate, but the hate I have for it is profound.

  9. Tiff @ Love Sweat and Beers | February 2, 2012 at 1:54 pm | Reply

    Interesting!

Murphy is adorable. Perhaps at age 5 I should say handsome, but I’m sticking with adorable.

I forgot my headphones at the gym last night too. AGH. This is the reason I have 4 sets, but they never seem to be in the right place.

Your puppy is so cute – we need to get our dogs together for a play date sometime. And Rugby? Wow – that’s awesome! I can’t imagine playing a full-contact sport. Love watching them, but I’m too big of a wuss to participate.

I just posted the same thing on my blog today – I may have to hold of on the tagged post, maybe a little later this month?! spacer
