An organisation for
Corporate Social
Impronta Etica is an Italian non profit organisation for the development of a Corporate Social Responsibility culture. It was founded in 2001 by some companies located in Emilia-Romagna Region, which were already active in CSR. Most of the founding members are cooperatives and this is an important signal of the interest covered by these themes within the cooperative movement in Italy.
The association’s mission is promoting sustainable development, creating a network between socially concerned firms and organizations which are willing to start up social accountability practices.
In this field it is crucial to create and fasten links between them, to facilitate contacts with similar national institutions and to promote active participation in international and supranational institutions concerned with business ethics and accountability.
Impronta Etica also seeks to make Italy a crucial actor in Europe on these issues. For this reason in 2002 the Association became a CSR Europe’s National Partner Organisation (NPO) to promote the exchange of best practices and take part to in the European debate on CSR.
