Jane has worked with many businesses and educational institutions over the last 25 years, providing independent advice on the acquisition, implementation and use of new technologies for working and learning. Jane’s huge breadth of knowledge and experience  - in terms of potential approaches and tools as well as pitfalls – means she is able to offer a wide range of consultancy services.

However, as organisations transition to Social Businesses, and move from hierarchical organisations to networked organisations, Jane now focuses her consultancy activities on  working with L&D departments to help them as they shape the future of their departments in transforming organisations.

Typical projects might include

• raising awareness of the potential of social and collaborative tools and approaches for learning and working across the organization
• identifying areas of the business that will benefit from collaborative approaches
• helping to establish and sustain Communities of Practice
• helping L&D departments transfer from a Training model to a Performance Consulting model
• installing enterprise-wide social and collaboration platforms.

Workshops

Jane provides briefing sessions and kickstart workshops including a 1-day onsite Introduction to Social Learning – which is a very interactive and social event – introducing teams to the use of social media for workplace learning.  She also provides ongoing support and advice for organisations, after the event.

Internet Time Alliance

Jane works on large international projects with Internet Time Alliance (ITA) where she is a Principal, and Director of Collaboration.  The ITA advises organizations on how to get their people learning, working, and innovating in Internet Time. ITA Principals have connections to thousands of different organisations within their different networks, so are able to share the practices of many forward looking organisations.
