Did you know that the number one reason cats are removed from a household is from urinating in the home? It wasn’t until after our cat (Sweet, Little Bella who is full grown in this image), started peeing outside of her litter box that we learned this ourselves.
After the horrible smell of cat urine (more nicely called “pee” or “spray”) filled our home, finding cat pee stains on our brand new carpets and furniture, we had several questions about why our cat (all the sudden) decided to pee not in her litter-box but wherever she chose. Like you, we searched the internet for answers to all kinds of questions. But after searching the internet far and wide, we found conflicting information spread across numerous websites. Furthermore, none of the sites seemed to answer all of the questions we had. So, in an effort to save you the time we waited pet stain and odor “experiments”, we decided to create this site we aptly named, The Cat Pee Diaries.
