Imperfections

by Dens on February 11, 2012

Today is Saturday and I spent the day cleaning one of our four rooms in the house. As I was about to discard old pieces of newspapers, I happened to read a portion of an editorial wherein the author quoted another writer who said -

” A good marriage is not one which perfection reigns. It is a relationship where a healthy perspective overlooks a multitude of unresolvables.”  The author added that

” Marriage is a perfect union of two perfectly defective individuals. That’s why God has to be in the equation to hold it together. The closer one is to God, the closer he or she will be to his or her spouse…”

Today is three days away from a festive day of love, passion and romance. It is a very special day between us and the persons we love. Should you spend Valentine’s Day with your loved ones? Precisely!!!

I may discard old newspapers  (as I am preparing the room for the coming of a family member) but the message I read from an unnecessary material is very meaningful especially on Valentine’s Day. Those great reminders about imperfections  could spice up our romantic mood. Perhaps they are quite old ideas but might bring some enlightenment and cause a happier Valentine’s Day with our loved ones.

Happy happy Valentine’s Day to you all!

A taste of wellness drink

by Dens on February 2, 2012

I have just browsed my post which I wrote last November entitled ” Over a cup of herbs” wherein I said that no sufficient studies have examined how herbs can be used to treat post traumatic stress disorder after childbirth but they are generally a safe way to strengthen and tone the body’s system.

There are many herbal products that are known to be good for our health. We know of some plants that contain certain biologically active compounds that are medicinally useful.

Being a hands-on home keeper, I am most vulnerable when it comes to pain which is inevitable because of my active lifestyle. This year, I promise to myself to lead a healthier lifestyle with Nopalea, which is a “tasty wellness drink sourced from the fruit of the nopal cactus which contains rare and potent antioxidants that are scientifically proven to help the body achieve greater wellness and if taken  daily, it can help our body by cleansing itself of daily toxins”. We can try Napolea for free  ( pay only 9.95 for shipping) by calling 1-800-203-7063.

I will precisely  exercise caution in using herbal products because I know that not all herbs and spices are good for the body. There are some which pose serious health risks and contains toxins

Let us carefully select and discretely use herbal products.

Dream Home

by admin on January 25, 2012

The Author of this post is Solomon Dejesus

I logged onto www.giveadish.com and scheduled an appointment for the installers to come out to our new house next week. It has been twenty years since the last time that we moved. I have been begging my husband for the last five to let us start the project of a lifetime: our dream home.

Since before we were married, and just dating, I have been collecting pictures of homes, ideas, and notes on what I wanted in my dream home. We are finally at the point where we have enough time and especially money ( the main drawback) to move into the dream home that we started over a year ago. It is a beautiful Savannah-style home made of a thick red brick and with beautiful hunter green shutters. It is so inviting, I can see myself sitting on the porch there for the rest of our lives.

I just can’t wait to get in and get settled. Twenty years of anticipation is certainly a long time to wait, I was starting to get impatient!

A moment she’s been dreaming of

by Dens on January 25, 2012

And she said, “this is the moment I’ve been dreaming of!” as they are about to start a new chapter in their life.

My daughter and her family are now about to live in a house which they will call their own home. They have a new house and she wishes to do some interior design to make the house design and look fit her taste. She plans to change the colors of the walls and the floor to create an illusion of more space and a homey and relaxing feel – ambiance. She loves colors and she wants the house to have a modern touch through colors.

It was a bold step as her innate interest in interior design allows her to create a home that is consistent to what is in her mind. To achieve a high-end look, her husband suggested glass mosaic tiles for their kitchen. They have gone to the sites which sell different styles of custom mosaic glass styles available for the walls, bathroom or even borders.

This home will not only present a fusion of American and Filipino influences but will embody the warmth and the hearty hospitality of its dwellers.

Happy house warming Gorgie, Eryl and BBG!!!

Kung Hei Fat Choi!!!

by Dens on January 23, 2012

It is 11:35 pm. It’s 25 minutes away from the Chinese New Year.

Although my family does not celebrate this event, we see programs in the television with concepts about this event. On this eve of the Chinese new year, there will be a lot of festivities such as parades , raucous dragons’ and lions’ dances and fireworks displays which will fill the streets bringing to  close  the year of the rabbit and ushering the much anticipated year of the dragon.

According to Chinese mythology, the dragon year signals benevolence because dragons are believed to bring good fortune , prosperity and bounty. Thus the much awaited and anticipated event !

“No amount of lucky charms can attract blessings and rewards to our life without good deeds, clean heart and faith to the SUPER POWER above us.”

KUNG HEI FAT CHOI everyone !!!

P.S. My father’s father was 100% Chinese so I am 25% Chinese (by blood). . . (^..^)
