One of Broadway’s most successful and longest running musicals, The Lion King, helmed by acclaimed director Julie Taymour with musical compositions by Elton John is currently on a North American tour which will take the production to more than 20 cities all across the US and Canada over the next two years. This summer, Simba, Nala and the rest of Pride Rock – plus some outcasts (remember Scar and the hyenas?) – will be roaring and shaking things up in Dayton, OH as it stages its limited summer engagement at the Schuster Center from June 14 to July 10, 2011.

Stage actor Adam Jacobs will lead the pack of the touring cast as the lion king Simba. Joining him are Syndee Winters as Nala, Nick Cordileone as Timon, Ben Lipitz as Pumbaa, J. Anthony Crane as Scar, Dionne Randolph as Mufasa, Brenda Mhlongo as Rafiki and Tony Freeman as Zazu.
