Shop Marketing Helper {My Newest Etsy Selling Tool}

by Everything Etsy

Have you seen the awesome new app for Etsy sellers called Shop Marketing Helper?

spacer I heard so much buzz and good report about this new app that I decided to cough-up the $7.99 to try it out for a month. I love it so far and I think it’s going to be one of those apps that makes the cut!

The app really integrates great with Etsy and a number of social media channels. I have it connected to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr. You can also connect to StumbleUpon and Blogger.

It pulls in my item pictures and descriptions as well as coupon codes from my Etsy shop and makes it super easy for me to promote them in social media.

While the Etsy integration is a huge time saver, it’s the fact that this app keeps me from forgetting to promote my items that will really make it worth the effort. Now no matter how busy I get in life and with other things, the important job of actually telling people about my items for sale on Etsy will get done.

spacer

Since it’s all scheduled out ahead of time, I can be in two places at once! {Yay!}

If you’ve tried this app I’d love to hear how you’re using it. If not, you might want to give it a shot! Here’s the link: Shop Marketing Helper

Scrapbook Studio Inspiration

by Kim

spacer

I found a scrapbook studio that I know you’re going to enjoy! Even if you don’t do much scrapbooking you have to feel inspired by the beauty of Lisa Brown’s creative space.

I love the colors and I want those Coke bottles…how fun!

spacer

Pretty, pretty, pretty! What a nice big table to spread out everything you’re working on. And you could even leave it there until you finish instead of cleaning it up because you’re working on the dining room table and it’s time to eat! Just sayin’!

spacer

I’ve never thought about adding a table runner to the top of a cabinet like this. It looks beautiful! And you’ve gotta want to play with all the goodies in those spice racks!

spacer

She keeps scraps of fabric in these hanging bags. What a great idea!

I hope this studio inspires you with some new ideas. {more photos}

Do you scrapbook? Do you have any tips for keeping supplies under control…we’d love to hear them!

Queen’s Guard Peg Dolls {Tutorial}

by Kim

spacer

Hi, I’m Vanessa from Punkin Patterns.  I’m thrilled to be here today on Everything Etsy to share with you this great tutorial.

What child wouldn’t love to have their castle guarded by the Queen’s Guard?  With their bright red coats, brass buttons and large bearskin hats these foot soldiers guard the castle from any enemy.  These soldiers are very easy to make.

spacer

You’ll need some wooden peg dolls you can get at any craft store, acrylic paint in (red, black, white and gold), small brushes, and 1″ black pom poms.

Start by marking the doll with a pencil to mark the bottom of the red coat.  Mark it about 3/4″ from the bottom or so.  Mark a neck line also.  Paint this section red.  You may need a few coats (no pun intended) to get the red coat to look nice.

spacer

Paint the bottom of the soldier black (the pants), then add a white belt a little up from the bottom of the red coat.

spacer

Add a row of brass (or gold) buttons down the center front of the coat.  Then add thin red lines down each of the sides of the pants.

spacer

Glue a 1″ black pom pom on top of the peg dolls’ head.

spacer

Lastly, add some facial features if you like.

spacer

Now you have your soldiers ready to guard the queen, castle or treasure!
