Dear Mort,
I figured the least I
could do was send you an email and tell you
my story. Feel free to put this on your web site; I hope it helps
others.
I'm at a loss for
words. The truth is I wish I could climb through
my computer screen and hug you.
Mort, you didn't just
save our marriage; you transformed our
entire family. We've been married fifteen years, four children, but
were on the
brink of divorce. The emotional hurt inside me was so awful it caused
me to get
sick. And of course, you can’t be affected like that without
it hurting your
kids…that was the worst part for me…the hurt on
the kids. We tried to keep it
from them, but we couldn’t. It broke my heart to see their
pain.
My husband was having
an affair, so my pain was no picnic either.
I never thought he would do this to me.
I tried everything:
traditional marriage counseling, Venus and
Mars, and ebooks. Nothing worked. I decided that our problems were too
much. I
resigned myself to marital defeat.
Then I found you,
Mort, you were my last ditch effort. I didn’t
really think your program would work. I was sort of doing it while at
the same
time planning my next life, post divorce, life without my husband.
But as I started to
apply your advice, even before I joined the
program, the advice I got from your emails, things started to change,
slowly.
I’m not sure what it was but all I know is that the more I
did what you said
the more he softened. As I look back now, it’s amazing how
far we’ve come in
just 5 weeks. He decided to end his affair. I know this is going to
sound
corny, but it’s true: we’re more in love now than
we’ve ever been. Divorce is
out of the question. We made it. Thanks to you.
My friend told me
“People don’t change.” That’s a
lie. My husband
was the most stubborn man on earth. He refused counseling. And rejected
any
form of marriage help. But somehow Mort, your program got through to
him. He
said that it was positive and he didn’t get defensive. Your
program is not
threatening. He was very impressed with you and your program (and
he’s
impossible to impress!). We both felt that your program covered all the
bases
and we felt you putting your heart and soul into helping us succeed to
turn our
marriage around. We could tell that this is not just a job for you;
it’s your
mission. God gave you a gift and you’re using it to change
marriages.
Given my experience I
would have spent a million dollars for your
program; I can’t believe it all started with free emails.
A few months ago I
asked God for help. I didn't know what to do;
there was nothing left to try so I left it in his hands. He gave me
you. So,
