Guest Posts
Are you interested in guest posting? Fantastic! Here is all I ask:
- Keep it short (400-800 words is good generally)
- It must be unique. That means it wasn’t posted somewhere else before my blog. You can post it afterwards.
- Stay topical. My blog is about people and business.
- Organize your post for scanning (headers, subheaders, bullet points)
- Don’t give me a generic “Five reasons…”, “Ten ways to…”, list grabbing, boring stuff
- No, seriously. I won’t run stuff like that. I can pay a copywriter $20 to do that. It is garbage.
- Want to promote your product? Great! Buy an advertisement.
- Same thing for those people simply aiming to pump up their SEO juice.
- You get a tag line, not a keyword dump.
- Make it fun and interesting. Almost all of these rules can be broken if you deliver something that is amazing.
- Final editorial decisions are always made by me. Acceptance of guest posts does not guarantee I’ll publish. If I do not publish it, you are of course free to do as you wish with the content.
Is that cool with you? If so, buzz me on e-mail.
