26Trix qualifies Mehdi Gani (FRA) for Teva Best Trick Showdown and Red Bull Joyride Qualifiers July 21 : The finals for the FMBA Gold Level event, 26 Trix in Leogang Austria had to be cancelled due to bad weather Saturday, June 18. The qualifying results have been used as a final ranking, awarding Brandon Semenuk first, Andreu Lacondeguy second and Sam Pilgrim third. With Semenuk and Pilgrim pre-qualified for Kokanee Crankworx's Red Bull Joyride Finals on July 23 and Lacondeguy already invited to the Teva Best Trick Showdown and Red Bull Joyride Qualifiers on July 21, the invite reserved for the winner of 26Trix has been extended to France's rising dirt jump star Mehdi Gani. With the 26TRIX in Leogang, Austria just around the corner, the riders of the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour are getting ready for this season’s first gold event. : The winners of the 2011 FMBA Gold or higher ranked event (26 Trix, Claymore Challenge, Chatel Mountain Style and the top six ranked athletes from the FMBA rankings after July 3 will be invited for participation in the Teva Best Trick Showdown and the Red Bull Qualifying event on July 21.

During the first quarter of the World Tour, Sam Pilgrim (GBR) was able to take a comfortable lead in the overall ranking. Yannick Granieri (FRA) and Martin Soderstrom (SWE) are at Sam’s heels. Young talents Mehdi Gani (FRA) and Szymon Godziek (POL) in fourth and fifth place are two names that will surely come up frequently during the 2011 World Tour. They may have a hard time in Leogang though since last year’s FMB World Tour Champion Cameron Zink (USA) and last year’s contest winner Cameron McCaul (USA) have both confirmed their attendance.
