For many moms, style can be tricky. Not only is free time lacking, but with all the changes your body goes through during and after pregnancy, thoughts of just finding something comfortable and that fits preoccupy minds. Recently, though, three blogging fashionable moms decided that enough was enough and they vowed to help moms and their families really, to maintain style while staying fun and comfortable. They named themselves The Style Mentors.

Founded by Brandy Mercredi, “The Style Mentors provide a unique online stylist service, equipped to mentor you and your whole family to attain the style you desire.” All three of the mentors, Mercredi of Baby Blackbird, Jen Lula of Jen Loves Kev, and Melissa Jordan of Dear Baby, who blog about family and fashion alike, will help style not only you during and after pregnancy, but they also can provide style assistance for the kiddos and dads as well. As moms themselves they have families in mind and tons of experience to help you achieve great looks.

The idea for The Style Mentors stemmed from Mercredi, who spent 8 years in the apparel industry before becoming a SAHM. “I thought it would be a great way for people feeling frustrated or uninspired with their current wardrobe to get a little pep talk or jump-start from women with the experience of being stylish in different life stages,” Mecredi stated. “The idea came from friends who came to me for advice on items they were thinking of buying or advice on putting an outfit together, it grew from there,” she added.

Mercredi enlisted Lula and Jordan to help because they share the same vision as her. “I adore their styles, both very different from each other and my own, and I adore each of them as women. I thought both Jen and Melissa had the perfect mix of fantastic style, experience in styling themselves and families through different stages, and with wonderful kind hearts. I thought all things were essential, since those would be the qualities one would look for if asking a friend for advice; having talent/skill, experience, kindness, and understanding,” Mercredi said. It’s very important to these women that moms feel comfort when it comes to style because we all know that post baby, body image can be a struggle for so many. They want you to feel comfortable in your new roles as mommas, and part of that means dressing the stylish part.

Getting assistance from these kind hearted women is very simple as you are able to have a quick and easy virtual styling session with the mentor of your choice. You first choose which mentor you would like to work with, based upon their own fashion sense. From there you fill out a questionnaire, telling the mentor about your body type, your coloring, favorite stores, wish list items, and pieces you already own and adore. Mentors will ask follow up questions if needed and within 5-10 days, a personal lookbook will be emailed to you along with links to specific items allowing you to easily click away to make a purchase. The great thing to boot is that along with the lookbook and links, you will also receive styling tips and advice for future purchases.

The Style Mentors can help find you that perfect look for an upcoming special event or they can help create a new fall wardrobe.  They have packages ranging from $20-$35 for single outfits for each family member to $45-$75 for a wardrobe overhaul including 6 new outfits for a member of your family.

Ultimately, The Style Mentors provide an upscale styling experience and all you have to do is sit back and relax from the comfort of your home. They do all the searching for you, saving you some valuable time. No longer do you have to spend hours searching the racks for the best styles and fits. The mentors have you covered, all the while helping you stay up to date with the newest fashion trends.
