Materials Required:
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY
"AUNT LYDIA'S" HEAVY RUG YARN
1 - 70 yd. skein Yellow
Aluminum Crochet Hook Size H OR ANY SIZE HOOK WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW
9 Plastic Spring Clothes Pins
2 Wooden Hangers

GAUGE: 1 shell = 1¼ inches

No. 1

With Yellow ch 8, 4 d c in 4th st from hook, skip next 3 sts of ch, 5 d c in next st (shell), ch 1, turn. 2nd ROW: Sl st to center st of shell, ch 3, 4 d c in same space, 5 d c in center st of next shell, ch 1, turn. Repeat 2nd row 18 times, cut yarn.

FINISHING: Place cover over hanger. String 7 pins on yarn. Make loop, drop loop, work­ing through both thicknesses insert hook in end sts of both shells of last row of shells, pick up dropped loop and pull through sts, * ch 5, bring pin close to last st, y o and pull through loop, ch 5, insert hook through end sts of next shell, y o and pull through sts and loop on hook, ch 2, sl st through end sts of next shell, ch 2, sl st through end sts of next shell, repeat from * across cover but working a ch 6 on each side of next pin, a ch 7 each side of next pin, a ch 8 each side of next pin, ch 7 each side of next pin, ch 6 each side of next pin and a ch 5 each side of last pin, cut yarn. Sew ends of hanger cover tog. Wind yarn around hook of hanger, glue ends.

No. 2

With Yellow make hanger cover in same manner.

Sew ends of hanger cover tog. Wind yarn around hook of hanger, glue ends.
