About

By Matthew Panzarino

spacer Welcome to The iPad Guru, my name is Matthew Panzarino, I’m a gadget obsessed writer and photographer living in California. After years of answering people’s questions about the iPhone, I decided it was time to just start collecting the answers to those questions in one place and The iPhone Guru was born. When Apple recently released the long-awaited iPad, I started this site dedicated to helping people in the same way with this great new product. Teaching people about technology really excites me, so if you have any questions please feel free to email me to ask them and I will do my best to get an answer up on the blog. I hope to make community involvement and easy to understand answers and tutorials the reason that The iPad Guru stands out.

Thanks again, I hope you enjoy the site!

I’m a software and automation consultant.  I primarily develop vertical applications in the mobile & web space.  I started with the iPhone 3G.  I’m on my second iPhone (still a 3G).  My first met its demise in a foray with a Diet Dr. Pepper.  I’m a registered iPhone Developer, but I have no apps to my name (all bark, no bite).  My prior phone was a HTC Kaiser (Tilt) running a cooked ROM.  My mom was the first of my family to get an iPhone (still on the original), followed by me, my wife, my dad, and my youngest sister.  Soon my brother and business partner will be converts also (stinkin’ AT&T contracts).  I use Windows 7/XP/Vista as a general rule of thumb, but both me and my wife have Mac Books too.  I keep an Ubuntu boxen around for variety, and run a Linux based Firewall/VPN.
