Public call for developers, designers and graphics artists

Do you code in C#, MCML, C++? manage large SQL databases? enjoy fiddling around with graphic design or UI development? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, we should talk :)

I am considering restructuring the myDVD development to be more of a community type project, although still closed-source and commercial. What I am proposing is that anyone who would like to be involved in the project (and subsequentially 'approved') will receive a one-off "payment" worth in the region of $5500.00 (US) on the basis that anything you create (within the bounds of said project) becomes the intellectual property of senseIT to do with as they see fit.

The one-off payment structure means that you can not, at a later date, claim a percentage of myDVD sales or subscription income.

There will also be a NDA and contract of employment to sign safeguarding everyone against future troubles.

Initially I am looking towards the existing community to fill above mentioned roles, but if you have just joined do feel free to contact me for further discussions.

Please use the "Start a conversation" or "Send an email" link on this page to contact me directly.

While I am happy to clarify certain questions you may have in public (ie. here, in this thread) if you are looking for specific information about the product, planning, NDA or the like please keep those in private.

Planning and internal discussions will be kept separate from this community, most likely on an internal Sharepoint server only accessible by project members.

Welcome to the home of myTV!

Trial versions are available from here. Currently no trial versions available (see here for details). Any problems during installation or setup, don't hesitate to ask in the forums. Please note - you need SQL Server Express 2008 installed before myTV will run. More information about this on the download pages/wiki.

A stable version 1.2 is now available, and weekly builds containing bugfixes and feature improvements are going out as planned. Version 1.3 (or perhaps 2.0) is being worked on and is the next major upgrade of the application.

Once you're ready to purchase the product, simply follow one of the currency links below. Pricepoints are (depending on your currency) $19.99, £9.99 and €12.99 for a lifetime license (lifetime of the application, which may or may not be longer or shorter than yours :p)

Since there are no trials available at the moment we have a no-fuss refund policy - basically this means that as long as you have done your homework before purchasing (i.e. making sure myTV does what you want - in effect, organizing your recorded or downloaded television series automatically) and have made at least one post in the forums requesting help - we will refund the price paid for the software, no questions asked. To this date only 5 people have taken advantage of this.

What some of the current myTV users had to say,
  • "Since switching over to myTV for all of my encoded TV shows, no I don't use the video gallery at all."

  • "myTV is actually working well enough for my wife to use it now, without threatening to toss the PC in the pond."

  • "This app is turning out great, and I am officially switching to VMC now, because of it:-)"

  • "One day after install and my library is completely operational. It took me a week with [competing productname removed]."
