Indie publishing is for many businesses, not just writers! A yoga teacher earning $70 teaching a one-hour class who sells three students a $12 indie-published book, has boosted her profits more than 50%. And an independent software vendor who sells manuals for his system isn't just sweetening his bottom line but reducing his tech support costs. So keep reading, you non-writers...

Why indie publish? Well, let's look at the alternative, what is now called legacy publishing. Here's the process, in a nutshell:

This is a guest post by Raj Bokdia, he is an internet marketing expert. His love for technology and the internet has led him to venture into internet marketing services. If you are looking for reliable article writing services, visit his website to buy articles at affordable rates. You can also check out his content marketing blog to learn more about how you can leverage content marketing to your advantage.

Marketers employ several techniques to motivate their target consumers to buy. One of the most effective of these is storytelling. Whatever be the key objective you wish to achieve – capturing consumer attention or convincing them to buy a product or a service from you – storytelling helps you achieve them all.

There is a finer point here, though: Storytelling does not mean “fabricating” plots; it more often than not involves presenting real customer stories that drive home the relevant human emotion. What you need are not just languid stories, but ones that can rouse the casual reader into taking positive action.

I realize that the title of this post is somewhat ambiguous, but I feel that titles like "How to Utilize Good Content" (with maybe "content strategy" or "marketing" thrown in for good measure) scare off more people than it brings in. Hopefully you haven't all stopped reading now. Fact of the matter is, content strategy and marketing is important, and you have more control over it now on the internet than anyone would have ever though possible 20 years ago. I just hope to deliver you some useful information that you can apply in a more practical setting to your own websites or online reputation.

This is a guest post by Jeff K Gross. Jeff has been blogging since 2007 & contributing on many websites since that time. He is a professional internet marketing and blogging consultant. Jeff is also co-owner of nPromote, SEO company from Long Island. A great way to build readership to your own blog is to guest post at others in your niche. With over 50 guests posts to my credit, I have distilled what I have learned into the following so that newcomers can build meaningful relationships with other bloggers and their readers. The key to success in any field is passion. This is exceptionally true in blogging because your passion shows in the way you articulate yourself in the body of work. If you are not passionate or knowledgeable about your chosen niche, the readers will be able to tell.

What does it take to create a flourishing photography blog?

This is a guest post by Leah Schulz who runs a photography blog: A DSLR Fairytale where she shares her adventurous photography journey. You can also find her on Facebook.

Owning a camera is a good place to start. Over Christmas, I received my first digital SLR camera, a canon T2i Rebel, and I decided to write a blog about my adventures in DSLR photography. My blog is obviously still really new, but it is building momentum quickly (over 700 total followers in little over a month) and I believe it’s going to have long-term success because it was created on a solid foundation.

In this post I will share my blogging story and what I’ve done to lay that foundation.
