Yada, yada. But who’s Milliver?

My dark and serious side was too apt to believe I’m not “worthy” to take up travel writing. I’m not some traveling guru who jets off to Europe, Asia or another favorite continent where he or she knows all the secrets on how to travel like a local.
But, so what? I read once that James Clavell wrote some of his classic novels (Shogun, Tai-pan, etc.) by studying travel videos. No doubt it was a labor of love every time. And millions have enjoyed those books.
That isn’t to say I’ll be blogging about travel from watching travel videos . . . just that most of my travels right now are closer to home.

My own story is quite the opposite: After several decades of reclusive behavior related to PTSD, I’m using travel writing as a fun way to celebrate my recovery and reconnection with the world at large.
