ART & DESIGN
The average man spends 60 hours shaving each year. Identical twins Hubert and Anthony Tsai, both successful Wall Street traders, created TwinLuxe to make the time spent with razor in hand as luxurious and comfortable as possible. TwinLuxe is the world’s most exclusive shaving product company, and it markets not only tailor-made, hand-crafted skincare products but also cutting-edge hardware. Designed by Marek Djordjevic, the same man that engineered the Phantom for Rolls-Royce, the instruments from TwinLuxe feature space age materials typically found in high performance cars and ultra-fine wristwatches.
The brand’s Anthracite Shave set ($1,088) is coated with PVD, or Physical Vapor Deposition, to provide a hardened, matte black finish. In addition to a traditional chrome set ($788), TwinLuxe produces a limited edition Arctic shave set ($1,588) made with white alumina ceramic, a substance that is all but entirely scratch resistant. Each shave set is accompanied by a brush made from natural silvertip badger hair. The hair is hand sorted, washed and finished in Germany, and creates a bristle that is more water absorbent than a sponge.
The twins are quick to point out that their shaving skin care products aren’t off the shelf either. In fact, they spent four years in development before coming to market, hiring their own lab to develop proprietary formulas from scratch. They combined Asian botanicals such as Pearl Powder and Hydrolyzed Rice protein with the latest from the world of dermatology to create a line meant to work with every skin type.
TwinLuxe focuses on design and performance – and in doing so, has brought shaving into the 21st century. (TwinLuxe)

$1,088 for a shaving set? c’mon, dude, not everyone has platinum albums hanging on their wall….
What a stellar men’s grooming line! Finally someone had the right idea. I hate the old look of those english barber shop razor sets. TwinLuxe for the win!
My game has grown prefer you call me William
This would be a fab gift for my husband…he is very much into grooming and he deserves the best!
I guess only Jay-Z himself can afford to spend that much for a Shaving set..
I would love to test this set out. My girl is a esthetician so I’m constantly testing products, mostly serums, and daily moisture products. LOL she would be proud that the thought of how nerdy I was about to get on here.

Oh This is a must have for the hubby! When you buy something such as this, the immediate purchase isnt the real concern its the value in the future. Something this rare is probably be worth something in the near future.
Father’s Day is coming up, so this would be a great gift for my dad! My dad has a white iPhone and iPad so he probably would love this white Arctic shaving set. Time to start saving up.
Lol @ the Gillette 5 blade, its a must. The set is nice, but you can also get a nice set that has the weighted handle and badger hair brush from The Art of the shaving. That’s what I use, but I also use the Gillette 5 blade with it too.

Sounds really good.
Truly awesome grab for my husband this year, (Now all I have to do is budget for it).. Also the second picture love the bathroom decor, but can anyone tell me where i can find a wooden box like that? Want to scoop that up too.
Andrea,
If you check out the TwinLuxe website, it seems like that wood box comes with any TwinLuxe shave set purchase. I don’t think you can buy one off the rack somewhere else.
Sets look marvelous and I am going to try out their Shaving Skincare line too. Reviews say that its the best stuff out there like their shave sets.
Wait, ALL THAT…paired with a disposable, Gillete multi-blade razor? No single blade or a nice DE razor? For those who understand and appreciate the…”Art of Shaving” (seriously not just pluggin’)….it seems….off yeah?
One of my friends bought the twinluxe anthracite shaving kit and I saw it in the flesh today. That thing is heavier than a filled red wine bottle – no joke! You definitely get what you pay for. Pictures of the shaving set don’t do it justice at all.
I have an art of shaving kit myself and it is a piece of crap when compared with the twinluxe set. My set looks like garbage made in china and a set probably only weights half a pound.
You get what you pay for so I cannot complain.
@Steve_Harmon – The TwinLuxe site is great. I just saw the 360 virtual tour for the Anthracite shave kit: www.twinluxe.com/shop/shave/instruments/anthracite/360/index.php
You click on the picture and move your mouse around and the shave kit moves. AWESOME!
If the link doesn’t work, then go to www.twinluxe.com/shop/shave/instruments/anthracite/index.php and then click on “360 views+” in the upper left corner.

If you check the site…there are products in the 30-40 dollar range…worth it if you value your skin…#justsayin
@Mykel Mitchell – I took your suggestion and purchased the TwinLuxe shave cream and scrub face wash. These 2 products work awesome!! My skin feels so smooth and clean after using the scrub face wash. And I got an extremely close shave with no irritation or red bumps.
Thank you for the tip!
Can you get this at walmart?
Only a moron would pay that kind of money for a disposable / cartridge razor!
Grow up a get a real D.E. or straight razor from an actual razor company (e.g. Merkur).
