January 12 – Chris Koza – Chris Koza is a Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter has been recording and releasing albums since 2004. His song-writing carries a strong emphasis on the lyrical and poetic elements, with stylings and textures rooted in folk and americana traditions. With guitar player Peter Sieve, Koza has toured the U.S. a handful of times.

January 22 – Rhizosphere – an improvisatory quartet that explores the fertile territory where the roots of music from around the world come together.  Sounds from Europe, Asia, and the Americas interact spontaneously in an aural environment held together by the great American traditions of Jazz, Folk Music, and the Blues.  Rhizosphere features Bobb Fantauzzo on Native American and Chinese flutes, Gabriela Sweet on Slide Guitar and Accordion, Mike Bruns on Guitar, and Sean Egan on clarinet.

February 9 – Café Accordion Orchestra - “Berets and Bongos” describes the Café Accordion Orchestra experience. A loungy, eclectic mix, full of French flare, Latin heat and Bohemian attitude. The heart of the Café Accordion repertoire is the romantic, gypsy-influenced valse-musette. The group complements the musettes with swing, ballads, tangos, cha chas, rumbas, and cumbias to create a wonderfully varied show. They inject their music with good humor and expressive abandon. Their high level of musicianship and passion for performance makes them an entertaining concert act as well as a great dance band.

February 19 – Robb Henry TrioGuitarist Robb Henry is perhaps best known for his work with Parisota Hot Club, a group he helped form to explore the jazz stylings of french guitarist Django Reinhardt in 2001. This music gets a fresh approach with Henry’s new trio featuring his eclectic, electric guitar playing. Also, featured are Jim Chenoweth on string bass and Ben Kaplan at the drums. This listening experience will include new interpretations of Django Reinhardt classics mixed with pop melodies of the ’60′s and bluesy improvisations. The music of the Robb Henry Trio shows deep, musical ties to past roots with a sensibility of sound firmly planted in the present.

March 8 – Daddy Squeeze TrioThe Daddy Squeeze Trio is a fun and adventuresome group that believes having a good time makes great music even better. They can swing the standards, generate Latin and rock grooves, and surprise their audience with slightly twisted covers of forgotten pop tunes. Imagine, if you can, a banjo and accordion treatment of “Cat Scratch Fever” or “Smoke on the Water”, a bewigged rendition of Frank and Nancy Sinatra’s “Something Stupid”, a Tango/Klezmer treatment of Cher’s “Bang Bang”, or a Tom Waits-influenced beat poetry reading of “Takin’ Care of Business”. The Trio also offers Louisiana-style dance music, Tex-Mex, Brazilian Forro, Cumbia, French Musette, Gypsy Swing, and has become a showcase for Dan “Daddy Squeeze” Newton’s original songs.

March 18 – GnarlChamber ensemble, free jazz quartet, jam band: Gnarl is a continually evolving sonic experience.  Four artists exchange and develop ideas in an ongoing musical conversation, ranging in mood from a delicate interplay of tones to a chaotic tangle of sound.  Each performance is unique, and no-one knows in advance where it might lead.
