Last week, my packed lunch was my favorite soup of all time: cream of chicken and wild rice! Next year, when I make it because I only make it once a year due to it being so rich, I’m going to add carrots.
Ingredients
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
2 cooked, boneless chicken breast halves, small cubes
1 package quick cooking long grain and wild rice with seasoning packet (I used Kroger brand, which was 6 oz)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter
2 cups heavy cream (use 1 cup milk & 1 cup cream for a lighter version)
If the ingredients sound good, head over to my other blog udandi where this Cream of Chicken and Wild Rice. recipe has been posted for three years.

I always head to the back corner of Target to see what special display they are offering. This year it is the Bullseye Bodega and while it is a little sparse and some of the items are odd, I knew some where they would have lunch bags, water bottles and exercise DVDs. Sure enough they… more

I got this recipe from Kalyn’s Kitchen and I am listing the ingredients I used and a few notes for how I would do it differently next time since I really enjoyed this chili! She does say to finely dice your onion and I thought using my food chopper would work, but next time I… more
