About ERE Expo

12 years ago, a much younger ERE team dreamed up an idea for a new kind of recruiting event. Well here we are, 12 years and 21 ERE Expos later, bringing that original passion and desire.

Our mission was clear right from the start — to create an event for corporate recruiting professionals to share new ideas that simply weren’t being discussed anywhere else in the establishment. This Spring, you are invited to share with us again at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego from March 28 – 30, 2012 for ERE Expo 2012 Spring.

When recruiting leaders like Patti Breckenridge, who has participated in several past ERE Expos describe the event like this, we know we must be doing something right.

“You continually do a great job of creating the best recruiting conference in the nation.”
    - Patti Breckenridge, Recruiting Manager, Publix Super Markets

ERE Expo 2012 Spring will continue to advance that original mission and bring together new speakers and new ideas.

ERE Expo is consistently the place you go to see stuff you just don’t see at other events. We have been first to live stream our events to the community, first to integrate social media and first to feature some of the most well known speakers in the profession today. That’s because our team spends a lot of time finding and getting to know recruiters and recruiting departments who are pushing the envelope today.

You probably haven’t heard or met Julia Gomez, JetBlue’s Director of People Analytics & Engagement, but you will at ERE Expo 2012 Spring… and you’ll be impressed. She’ll talk about how they’ve built a workforce of brand ambassadors.

Same goes for Tonia Horton, Home Depot’s Senior Director of HR Services. I bet you haven’t heard her speak before, but you will at ERE Expo. Home Depot recently bucked the trend in the retail industry by centralizing big parts of its store hiring, including 60,000 seasonal workers. Tonia talks about what any company, retailer or not, can learn about the big cultural changes this effort involved.

Companies and hiring strategies are more global than ever before. We recognize that as well and make sure this year’s agenda addresses that need. Just read how recruiting leader and past ERE Expo participant Matthew Jeffrey from the UK describes ERE Expo.

“ERE Expo is the world’s premier Global Recruiting Event, attended by the finest recruitment talent and strategy thinkers in the world today. Recruiting leaders and their team that are not represented are seriously missing out on learning from cutting edge thinkers and hence letting down their company and setting them back in the Global War for Talent.”
    - Matthew Jeffery, Head of EMEA Talent Acquisition & Global Talent Brand, Autodesk

And at ERE Expo 2012 Spring, we are bringing several people from around the world coming to San Diego. Richard Long who was integral in running Deloitte’s careers page on Facebook is coming from New Zealand. Roel Lambrichts who heads up Coca-Cola’s European Talent Acquisition function is coming over from Brussels. And Danielle Monaghan, Cisco’s HR Director for North Asia, including Greater China, Japan, and Korea is coming over from Beijing. Oh, and don’t forget our neighbors to the north as Paul Hamilton, the Director of Talent Strategy & Programs from Rogers Communications Inc. comes down from Canada.

But don’t think ERE Expo is just for large multinational corporations and Fortune 500 companies, because its not.

“Very insightful and inspiring! So many wonderful ideas and best practices to bring back to our company.”
    - Tara Guthrie, Recruiting Manager, Greenleaf Hospitality Group

We always ask for feedback from our attendees after each event so we can learn how to make ERE Expo even better each year. One thing that has been mentioned is the desire to not just learn what the large well-known companies with huge budgets are doing, but also those with a smaller staff and budget.

We hear you, and this year we’re adding sessions especially for those of you with limited resources. We’re going to have a session from two companies who talk about achieving a great candidate experience when you’re a medium-size firm. We have planned a discussion about being a “recruiting department of one”. And, Becky Wilcox, Talent Acquisition Director at Orbitz, will talk about college recruiting when you’re not a Fortune 500 company.

“The sessions were great, the networking opportunities are even better!”
    - Lance Abisror, Executive Talent Scout, Nike

Besides all the great content and speakers being featured at ERE Expo 2012, we can’t overstate the networking. When you put several hundred recruiting leaders in the same place for two-plus days, lets just say great things happen.

So what are you waiting for? Make sure to reserve your spot today to lock-in the early bird discounts that can save you up to $600 off the registration rate. ERE Expo is designed for your entire recruiting team, and if you come with colleagues, you will all save an additional $100.
