  • Future Hipsters - Wrinklier, but Just as Trendy

    February 10th, 2012 / Comments (0)

We're loving this spot created for Social Media Week (Feb 13-17). Made us think - will today's young people still listen to dubstep when they're grandparents? And what is it that a community manager does, exactly?

    Enjoy.

  • Stalin Six Times Distilled... Stalin Claus.

We're repeatedly fascinated by European advertisers' use of deceased brutal dictators in ads.. This one, for Amundsen Vodka, has sparked some controversy, but we think it's clever. Maybe don't share with the kids.

  • CP+B and Coke Zero Declare the Monday After the Super Bowl, "Magnificent Monday"

    February 8th, 2012 / Comments (0)

We're not sure if this is brilliant advertising or a sure sign of the times and further downfall of American culture. You decide.

With friends and family gathering together to eat, drink and watch football, the big game is the ultimate American occasion. The only downside is having to show up to work the next day. So Coke Zero and CP+B are on a mission to make the day after the game a federal holiday. How? They're not sure. But they do know one thing; they can’t do it alone. Help them make Magnificent Monday a reality, so everyone can ENJOY EVERYTHING about the big game. Even the day after.

  • Jon Yablonski is Talented.

    February 3rd, 2012 / Comments (0)

Jon Yablonski, a designer, illustrator and native Memphian, gave us a heads up that he was going to launch a redesigned portfolio site today. And we have to say, it's pretty snazzy!
He's got client work as well as other experimental and self directed work up there; check it out. Some of the things we liked best were the Empire Series and Ghost Dance, featured below.

  • Work Submission: Art is Memphis

    February 2nd, 2012 / Comments (0)

You send us work. We post it for all to see. It's a good little system.
This video was sent to us by the lovely Lauren of ArtsMemphis. While not brand new (the spot was developed by Arts Memphis and produced by Live From Memphis last year as a means to promote Memphis arts), we still think it's pretty cool and wanted to share.

  • Really Cool Lurpak Spot from W+K

    February 1st, 2012 / Comments (0)

"Lurpak and Wieden+Kennedy are giving healthy food a bright and cheerful makeover with their new campaign for Lurpak Lightest Spreadable, and they wisely brought in [Director] Dougal [Wilson] to help them spread the word."

"Celebrating cooking in its most vibrant form, we're reminded that healthy food doesn't have to be boring. In fact, with the help of past collaborators such as editor Joe Guest and art director Andy Kelly, Dougal makes it look downright spectacular. There's also a catchy little ditty that'll stay in your head all day, with the stars of the show providing not only a riot of colour but musical accompaniment as well."

  • Clear for iPhone Looks Awesome

    February 1st, 2012 / Comments (0)

Developers Phill Ryu and Milen Dzhumerov, designer David Lanham, and publisher Realmac Software have created an iPhone app to replace all the complicated to-do list apps that sometimes make us want to just use (gasp!) pen and paper.
The app, called Clear, is set to be released later this month, and promises a straightforward, user-friendly to-do list experience. It's pretty spartan-looking, what with the elimination of top and bottom navigation and simple typeface. But with all the bells and whistles already on our iPhones, we're ready to give this a shot.
