February 8th, 2012Snow Angel
Finally it snowed and it stayed long enough for the kids to enjoy it. Caity’s not going to let it pass without this:
She’s loving it!!!

February 5th, 2012Kids’ Style # 13 – When it’s cold outside
Brrrr!!! It’s been a cold, cold week in Prague with temperatures going below 0C. According to AccuWeather, we will be experiencing more subzero temperatures till this week. Brrrr!! The kids still have colds, Caity might have to stay home until she gets totally healthy. Her coughing might make the teachers frown. She went to school anyway. (:
We went out today though, for church and some needed grocery-shopping. We made sure to bundle up the kids just to make sure they’re warm enough to face the chilly day. Here’s what Caity-Cat wore beneath her winter jacket:
Top – Hello Kitty
Gray hoodie – C&A
Jeans – Hannah Montana
Tights – Hello Kitty
Snood – Lindex (borrowed from Mama)
She’s wearing another shirt under her Hello Kitty top. That’s three layers already plus the thick jacket (not worn) equals four!
We sweat it out during these cold months by playing with Xbox Kinect especially the Dance Central 2. Ze kids just love to dance!
After a few rounds of dancing and playing, Caity is sleeping like a log now. Teehee!

February 4th, 2012Sick week
This is our first time to join
Caity was sick since Monday, so we kept her at home. I bet it was because she wasn’t properly dressed for the cold temperature when she & her dad went home from the party last Saturday and she lacked sleep, that did it. On Wednesday, her fever was already gone but she still had colds. We decided it was better to let her stay home for the remaining school days than bringing the virus to her class.
The two tots kept me busy all day, all week long! With hubby working till late at night for three straight days, everyday was a struggle for me. I had to be their playmate, maid, teacher, referee, entertainer, ___, ___… (what else?), all rolled into one. Whew! Oh, and I had to make sure noses dripping like leaking faucet were wiped every minute or so. Even though Caity was sick, her level of energy was still hard to beat. Kids!
This used to be our living room!!! Caity and lil’ bro took over the place and turned it into a playground. KIDS!!!
We resurrected their old plastic play house upon Caity’s request. It’s all battered but still never fails to give the kids happiness.
Monday night: “Picture me Mama!” Caity makes numerous poses before she went to bed.
Tuesday: I made this pink no-sew skirt for Caity.
Thursday: Caity prepared lunch for her friends – Minnie Mouse, Dog and Teddy Bear.
Chow time! What a feast! It made me smile when I heard her praying before they attacked the food. hihi
The family is holed up at home for the weekend because it’s lil’ bro’s turn to be sick. Its probably the effect of his vaccination last Tuesday. That, or he caught Caity’s virus.
January 29th, 2012Kids’ Style # 12 – Minnie Mouse
One of Caity’s fave friend, Nikki had a birthday party yesterday. It was a costume party, and our little Minnie fan went in her Minnie Mouse dress. It was the first time Caity took her red polka dotted frock for a spin since we bought it last month.
Camouflaged! Red on red!
The whole morning, Caity was over excited to go to Nikki’s party. It was even difficult to let her snooze for an afternoon nap before the event coz she couldn’t take her mind off it. As expected, she was all cranky when the party started.
The only activity she joined was the dancing. After that, she complained she’s tired.
The celebrant was dressed as a queen! Cute! She even has a king for a partner.
She didn’t like the blaring music, and it became worse when the kids had to play the balloon-popping game. She doesn’t like balloons because, well, they’re noisy when they pop. Poor girl, it was a major torture for her. She was either hugging me or her dad most of the time until she couldn’t stand the noise plus the crowd anymore and started crying, begging us to go home. “I want to go home.. please?“ So off she went with her dad while I stayed with lil’ bro who was also sleepy but was having the time of his life. More on that at rainydazeee.com.
This is what I got playing with colors. Duh!
Outfit:
Minnie Mouse dress – H&M
Red tights – no brand
Floral barrette – H&M
Maryjanes shoes – Cherokee (at the party, she wore her purple boots).
Caity complained that the end of the sleeves were itchy so I had to let her wear a long sleeve shirt.
Here’s the cute pink barrettes adorning her hair. (:
Caity is making up with the short time spent with Nikki yesterday by spending her Sunday (today) at their house. I’m sure the girls are having fun playing with all the new toys the birthday girl got for her special day. Yeah! Caity’s not home yet as I’m writing this!

January 23rd, 2012Kids’ Style # 11 – @ lil’ bro’s birthday party
Ugh! Late post again!
Last Saturday, we held lil’ bro’s 2nd birthday party at home. That’s why it was kinda busy around here. The next day, I was too zonked out to do anything and skipped blogging Kids’ Style.
Most of the pictures were taken while everybody’s in action; candid shots! So I had to do a lot of cutting, and cropping of heads, arms, etc. to make a decent outfit post.
Here it goes:
Getting ready to pull the piñata.
Picking up the goodies!
That’s my head there! (:
Caity’s outfit:
Pink floral dress – ordered online from JC Penney
Glitter flat shoes – H&M
Blue wooden watch – gift from friend
I’ll do a post on lil’ bro’s train party @ my blog rainydazeee.com, probably later today or…. whenever I feel like it!

January 16th, 2012Kids’ Style # 10 – Off to Finland
Let’s take a trip back to memory lane this time, back to summer of 2011 when it was filled with glorious vacations to other European cities and mostly lazing around.
The whole family was all giddy with excitement, as you can see, once we got to Prague airport, the kids couldn’t contain themselves and were all over the place, running, including Big Daddy.
Outfit:
Minni Mouse hoodie – Next
Jeans – Next
Sneakers -Peppa Pig
On board to Helsinki with her Minnie Mouse toy which we bought @ Disney on Ice 2010.
We’ve landed! During the whole trip, Caity was constantly babbling about meeting her Mama Cookie and cousins. Oh yeah, she had been waiting for that day!
I love how Helsinki Airport is kid-friendly. They have this stroller for kids who are too tired to walk (in lil’ bro’s case, he had to be strapped or else he’d run away!)
Caity’s travel wouldn’t be complete without her Tipu the Tiger Trunki. It’s a ride-on luggage for children, which is too cute and very convenient. Don’t be deceived by its small size, it’s got lots of space inside for kid’s stuff; we fill it up with nappies, books, crayons, food, and other important things for the little traveler.
Caity, back in July 2010 filling her Trunki with her stuff for our trip to the Philippines.
Let’s see where Caity and her Trunki will go to this year for vacation. Hmmmm… I can already smell the tropical air!

January 9th, 2012Kids’ Style # 9 – Bedtime!
Caity and her lil’ bro love to camp in our bed before they go to sleep at night. They’d tumble, jump or hide under blankets while waiting for me to get them settled. Other times, they’d take their books and read together. I am glad that these two are getting along quite well lately; the credit goes to Caity who is playing her role as big sis excellently. She learned how to leverage lil’ bro’s presence in her life and made him her number 1 playmate. Their fights are getting lesser and lesser and they both are learning how it is to share, take turns, and most of all enjoy each others’ company.
Reading the Hello Kitty Numbers book.
Reading The Story of Jesus book.
Outfit – both kids are wearing Baby Gap sleepwear bought from Multiply.
This one was before Adie changed for sleeping… love their smiles! (:
ZZzzzzzzzz time for me to get some sleep! The bed awaits! Ciao!

January 1st, 2012Kids’ Style # 8 – Happy New Year 2012!
Duh, red eye!
The day before the New Year’s eve, my friends and I had a small party at A’s house. Automatically, our children got to have an instant play date, much to their excitement. It has been quite sometime since they all got together, so it was a delightful reunion for them!
A happy chaos ensued when each of their Titas handed them gifts. It was like Christmas all over again for them! These kids are more or less a year apart in ages… Leah is 6, Nikki 5, Martin & Caity 4 and little Adie who’s almost 2 y/o. No quarrels that night!
Caity posing with Martin while holding his gift from her.
The three princesses comparing gifts with each other…
Look! Caity and Nikki got identical dresses!
Aside from the dress, she also got matching cap & shawl, angry birds’ purse, smurf toy, and puzzle. Thank you pretty titas for the gifts! Caity and lil’ bro were surely pleased.
@ home… She’s wearing a floral dress from C&A, red tights from long, long time ago and her overused glitter flats from H&M. Gray teddy is a gift from M’s office.
Not such a happy look, but anywayz, Happy New Year everyone!!! All the best for this year, 2012!

December 26th, 2011Kids’ Style # 7 – Merry Christmas!
Caity’s grandparents came in the afternoon of the 24th, and we only prepared Christmas Eve appetizers as they plan to have dinner in their home, after the gifts have been opened.
She is all ready to attack the food!
After the meal, Bába (grandma) huddled both kids @ little bro’s room, while M brought in the Christmas from the balcony where we hid it out from the children’s reach. Děda (grandpa) and I helped placed all the gifts ’round the tree. Once everything was ready, the light in the room was turned off leaving the Christmas lights blinking in the dark. Then M rang the bell, signalling that *Ježíšek (baby Jesus) came and left gifts for everyone. Czech children are made to believe that the gift-giver is baby Jesus, not Santa Claus.
The kids ran to the living room and tadannnn! They were in awe with all the gifts they saw, especially Caity. “Vánoce!!!” (Christmas!) She excitedly shouted.
With little bro, who was too occupied with eating the chocolate he got from the tree, oblivious to the surprises awaiting for him to unwrap.
We made one of Caity’s wishes come true. She got a scooter! And she also got another bike, this time with pedals! Weeee! Lots of ride-on toys for her this year.
Outfit:
Maroon dress – Youngland (which looked similar to the cloth hugging the Christmas tree base, duh!!!)
Hearts stockings – C&A
Glitter flats – H&M
It was hard to make the kids go to bed that night, coz all they wanted was to play with their new toys. Caity slept with the scooter by her bedside.
————————
The next day, Christmas, we had a brunch at Hotel Hoffmeister Restaurant with the grandparents…
Outfit:
Tunic top – Okay
Jeans – Next
Boots – Nelliblu
Caity was busy playing in their kids’ area to even bother to eat…
…hugging the white dog which she wanted to bring home.
“Only borrow, Mama...”. she begged. Of course, the toy had to stay.
Finally, she got hungry and eat.
We went home after we’re all stuffed with the buffet style brunch, and the kids all worn out from their messed up nap schedules. Later at night, we attended the Christmas Mass and Caity was too excited to say hello and thank you to baby Jesus for all the gifts she got. Thank you Lord, for the gifts!
Whew! All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas and holidays spent with family and friends, that is why Kids’ Style is posting late. Sorry! The kids were happy with what they received, so M and I declared our Christmas shopping a success.

December 18th, 2011Kids’ Style # 6 – Checkered Czech
On Caity’s 4th birthday, she got a big doll any little girl would fancy. But one look at it and she shoved the gift away, refusing to accept it. Weee! The poor thing is hidden in the cabinet waiting for the chance to play with Caity. I’ve noticed tough that she likes playing with her small dolls. So its not that she doesn’t like dolls at all. I guess big isn’t her type and she is being choosy. Lately she’s even asking me to buy her Moxie dolls, specifically the Magic Hair Colour Streak Studio Dolls coz she wants to color their hair too. Oh well…
When we went out earlier, she asked if she can take her baby with us. She just looked irresistibly cute carrying the rocker… like a mini Mama!
We left it in the car later as we’ve got too many things to mind already. We told her, baby doll would feel cold outside.
It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas… la, la, la, la! Lots of Christmas markets all over Prague can be found, and the smell of heavenly baked scents always find its way to our nostrils. Caity always requests for trdlo or trdelnik, a crusty pastry rolled in sugar with cinnamon and nuts. Yum!
Holding a trdlo…
Sweet love.
