A Year Older

I will be celebrating my birthday tomorrow and just like any other year I will let this occasion pass with no pocket to hole up. There will be neither parties to be thrown nor candles to be blown. Except last year when I celebrated my 25th, when my sister surprised me with a cake. My birthday every year is a simple celebration with my family eating our favorite pancit canton on dinner time. Just as long as every family member is healthy, I can have my birthday celebration just like that.

Maybe if I win the lottery on tonight’s draw with P200Million, I guess I will bring my family to an out of town vacation and enjoy a lavish dinner with them while am thinking on how to spend wisely my millions. I guess I would start investing on stocks or buy steel building and build my dream home and drive my own car. That’s too much to plan I know but dreaming is free and I can have my birthday dream the day before I turn 26. Ouch, few more years and I will be out of the calendar already! Yaiks.

Ninja Costume made from Recycled Materials

My son Yael joined the Lakan and Lakambini Contest for our place’s Foundation Day. The fund raising project aims to build gates on the whole Barangay’s compound. Aside from the talent portion, there’s a costume contest made out of recycled materials. I don’t know how my mother thought of creating the costume from empty sachets of Nescafe and she magically created a ninja costume out of it.

We intend to let my son ride a little motorcycle while wearing some hjc helmets, but we content ourselves to a black mask and a sword. We cannot be any more proud when he was so confident at the stage, greeting everybody, sung his song number and pose with his ninja costume like a pro. He is just four but he seems so mature for his age, he is so endearing to the crowd and am a proud stage mom. To make the memories sweeter, he won 2nd place!

Angry Birds Fanatic

I use my sister’s laptop everyday when she’s at work. I browse and play online. Good thing we live a few steps away from each other. Now that she seldom brings her netbook at work, I borrow it from time to time. I love that it has Angry Birds installed in it so I play for as long as I like when the kids are having their afternoon nap.

I cannot imagine I will be addicted to Angry Birds. But I finished the chrome version in no time. Now I am only playing the game version on my sister’s netbook over and over again. This game is really addicting that I can play every night ‘til dawn and my husband would often complain.

Ironically now I don’t only play the game, my husband who was hesitant at this game at first loves to play it nowadays. My two children would take turn playing with it too. High time to really buy our own computer! I must check out those discount computers I saw at the mall. I know it will be thrilling to see the kids play with our own personal computer someday.

Wrinkles Here, There and Everywhere!

Having three kids to take care of everyday has taken its toll not only on my body but also on my facial features. I noticed that the past few weeks has been very busy for me and the kids, sending them and fetching them to school every single day take away my me-time. My waistline is widening nonstop and my face has wrinkle spots already.

I cannot even enjoy some longer baths or even forget to apply moisturizer or lotion from time to time. I am always in a hurry. But I always enjoy having the kids with me, my niece and two children are my constant companion these days and I look like a kid when am with them.

I know I should not worry about aging, everybody will get there in their own graceful time. Wrinkles will appear no matter how much we hide it. But I want to be wrinkle-free as much as possible, I guess I need to check out the eb5 facial cream I saw online. It’s time to manage my time and allot for some health and beauty routine every day.

Heavier

I thought I would be back to working before the month of July begins, but here I am still a stay at home mom tending to my two little kids and one niece on weekdays. The whole day means I need to get them ready to school and prepare their meals. Weekend means rest and food feast, with an older pregnant sister and two pregnant cousins that means binging on anything edible! So I also look like three or four months pregnant and it hurts to receive comments like that most especially that I try to sweat a lot trying to lose weight.

Can somebody recommend some diet pills that work? I really need to know and try that out. My patience is running out, and my body fats seem to stay and I feel heavier all the more each day.

Envy is a sin

Yes it is a sin. But my jealousy of my big sister’s luck is on the good side. I don’t envy her per se. It’s just that her choice and the life she leads now are really ‘resentful’. I am really envious of how she is earning as an accountant (she deals with numbers but I still yet to find out if she counts military coin at work or not!) and as a part time blogger (she loves to write and maintains a number of blogs!). And to top that, she receives packages from Nivea! She is so lucky with freebies lately. And I envy her all the more! LOL

The other night, she went home with Nivea and shared some to me, I told her I will be blogging actively again even if the connection at home is at its worst. I cannot even open facebook or my email. Sigh. But she is my idol. So I will aspire to be like her somehow or be a dutiful blogger like her. Wish me luck on that one.
