Girl Doesn't Want Quote on 'Stupid Website'
Earlier this week, Studio 8 reporters combed the streets for
reactions to this week’s hot news topic,
the extra-large U.S. air strike in Iraq. At approximately
3:26 pm, Courtney Dupuy, an undecided freshman at Loyola University,
was approached by a reporter armed with a bright green clipboard and
a fresh packet of Bic pens. The reporter calmly requested Dupuy’s
comments on the above topic, to which Dupuy offered an immediate
response, which was carefully jotted down by the efficient and
professional Studio 8 reporter.
However, seconds later, Dupuy asked, “Wait, which website is this
for?”
After being
informed that this was going to be printed on the notoriously witty
and perhaps even comical Studio8.net, Dupuy demanded that her
quoted answer be erased or at least scribbled out so that the
reporter wouldn’t be able to read it later.
“Studio8.net is a disgrace to our beautiful internet. It's a
stupid website,” Dupuy then said. “Don’t quote me on that, either.”
When Dupuy
saw that this, too, was being jotted down by the Studio 8 reporter,
she used a mixture of sign language and semaphore to say that she
would dedicate the rest of her life to protesting Studio8.net. Since
Dupuy didn’t say any of this out loud, it could not be recorded and
later published here, though.
