Vision

The HR Florida State Council will serve the profession as the premier resource for best practices to the public and Florida human resource professionals.

Mission

HR Florida will achieve its vision by engaging members of the local chapters, partnering and educating our communities on emerging human resource trends and providing strategic direction to those we serve.

Values

R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
(Responsive, Ethical, State of the Art, Professional, Engaging, Credible and Trusted)

Goals

The Council facilitates services and programs for the collective interest of the state's SHRM and local chapter membership, and promotes activities that serve the professional and advance the profession.  We also act as the voice of employers with regard to legislation impacting the workplace.

Our initiatives are funded through the proceeds from our annual state conference.  Held in the summer/fall each year, the HR Florida conference hosts over 1,500 human resource professionals from around the nation providing professional development, networking, the sharing of best practices and fun.

We also provide our volunteer leadership with the resources for success.  For over 15 years, HR Florida has hosted an annual leadership conference designed to assist local chapter leaders with the knowledge and resources needed to manage their organizations.

Accomplishments

HR Florida is proud of the accomplishments of its chapters.  Five chapters have been recognized with SHRM's highest honor, the Pinnacle Award, for their contributions to enhance the development of effective human resource management.  All of our chapters have been recognized for their achievement of goals/objectives with Superior Merit award status by SHRM.

In summary, HR Florida is an entity of volunteers who are committed to the profession of human resources and want to share their knowledge with others.
