PVDM Modul Pada Router Cisco

spacer Selain memastikan  voice card yang dipasang di router cisco sesuai tipenya seperti yang pernah saya tulis disini , kita juga harus memastikan apakah telah terpasang modul PVDM yang berguna untuk Digital Signaling Process (DSP) agar aplikasi voice kita menggunakan VIC FXO/FXS Card dapat berjalan.

Sama halnya dengan dengan VIC Card , Modul PVDM juga memiliki beberapa tipe seperti PVDM1, PVDM2, PVMD3 yang kapasitas kanalnya bervariasi. Misalnya Modul PVDM2-8 , berarti modul ini dapat berkomunikasi dengan VIC Card type VIC2 dan dapat melayani 8 kanal voice, biasanya dipasang di Router 2800 series.

Adapun cara mengecek apakah modul PVDM ini pada router cisco caranya cukup mudah yakni dengan perintah “show inventory”  seperti berikut ini :

Router#show inventory
NAME: “2811 chassis”, DESCR: “2811 chassis”
PID: CISCO2811         , VID: V05 , SN: FTX1235A0A7

NAME: “WAN Interface Card – Serial 2T on Slot 0 SubSlot 0″, DESCR: “WAN Interface Card – Serial 2T”

NAME: “PVDMII DSP SIMM with one DSP with half channel capcity on Slot 0 SubSlot4″, DESCR: “PVDMII DSP SIMM with one DSP with half channel capcity”
PID: PVDM2-8           , VID: V01 , SN: FOC13090KJS

terlihat diatas PVDM Modulnya type PVDM2-8, hasil show inventory di atas saya lakukan pada router 2811.
