This is my manifesto. This is what I believe and how I choose to live my life.

Dear Conventions and Expectations,

I would like to cancel my subscription, effective immediately.

Like everyone else, I was signed up from birth and never really questioned your justification or your authority. Until recently.

I’m not saying that there’s necessarily something wrong with you as such, or questioning your legitimacy.

I’m challenging the delivery.

The indiscriminate acceptance of everything that you stand for and dictate, with no attention to differences of character. The incessant flow that lulls us into a dreamless sleep in our beds of comfort and safety throughout the eternal night of mediocrity.

I pinch myself. Hard.

I am wide awake now, and I reject this subscription. I have decided to throw it all away, start from scratch, and only take back the parts that I actively choose to include in my life.
